06 H3 right signal light comes on and off when it wants to

  • Wiring problem - short to power maybe . Did you check wiring harness?
  • Anonymous Jan 27, 2022 Turn Signal Lamps The FRT/TRN/HAZ/CRTSY/MIRR and REAR/TRN/HAZ fuses in the underhood fuse block supplies battery positive voltage to the body control module (BCM). When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, a signal is sent to the BCM to illuminate the desired turn signal lamps. The BCM has an internal flasher that sends an ON-OFF voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, a separate ground signal is sent to the BCM to activate and flash all turn signal lamps including both IPC turn indicators. The front and rear turn signals are grounded at G105, G350 and G340. The sound for the turn signal indicators is produced by the IPC.

2006 hummer h3 headlights wont turn off!

Ive changed the relay and the headlight switch on the dash .. still wont turn off headlights ? Just changing parts won't fix it , need to test . Hooking up a professional scan tool , one that can read codes in the BCM - body control module is the way to start to find the problem . Then familiarize yourself with how they work. Headlamps Major components of this system are the body control module (BCM), headlamp relay, beam select relay, ambient light sensor, headlamp and panel dimmer switch, turn signal/multifunction switch, park brake switch, and the low and high beam headlamps. The headlamps may be turned ON in 2 different ways. First, when the driver places the headlamp switch in the ON position, normal operation occurs. Second, when the headlamp switch is placed in the AUTO position, automatic lamp control (ALC) operation occurs. During ALC control, the headlamps will be OFF in daylight conditions or in low/high beam operation in low light conditions. The headlamp relay receives battery positive voltage directly from the battery. The BCM supplies a ground signal to the headlamp relay for normal headlight operation. The BCM also supplies voltage to the beam select relay coil for high beam headlight operation. When the driver places the headlamp switch in the ON position and the dimmer switch is in the low beam position, the headlamp relay supplies current flow through the left and right low beam headlamp fuses to both low and high beam headlamps. Both low beam headlights are grounded through the beam select relay. When activated, the dimmer switch sends a ground signal to the BCM in the high beam position and a momentary ground signal in the flash-to-pass (FTP) position from G106. The BCM then energizes the beam select relay which switches the headlamp grounds from the low beam headlight bulbs to the high beam headlight bulbs illuminating the high beam headlights. With the headlights in the low beam position, the high beams may be momentarily turned ON or flashed by activating the FTP portion of the switch. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the high beam indicator when the BCM detects that the high beams are requested. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination. The Headlamps On at Exit and Perimeter Lighting modes can be adjusted using the steering wheel controls to select the function as displayed in the driver information center (DIC). The Headlamps On at Exit selection will allow the driver to customize the period of time that the headlamps remain illuminated upon exiting the vehicle. This period can be adjusted from 0-180 seconds. The Perimeter Lighting feature allows the driver to select if they want the headlamps and backup lamps to illuminate when the door UNLOCK button on the key fob is activated. This feature can be turned ON or OFF by using the DIC steering wheel control buttons. DTC B2575 Headlamp Control Circuit Circuit Description When the body control module (BCM) senses a request for headlamp or daytime running lamp (DRL) illumination, the BCM sends a ground signal to the headlamp relay through the low beam headlamp relay control circuit. The headlamp relay will illuminate the low beam headlamps. Install a scan tool. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF. With a scan tool, command the headlamps ON and OFF. Does the headlamp relay turn ON and OFF with each command? Do you know what bi-directional control means ? Need a professional scan tool to do these type of test . DTC B2602: Daytime Running Lamp Control Circuit Low or Open DTC B2603: Daytime Running Lamp Control Circuit High Without this type of info. from service repair manual an using a scan tool your missing the big picture .

2006 Hummer h3 ...it only shows 3 positions for the 4x4 a 4with a up arrow a 4 high with a lock and a 4 low with a lock does this mean the vehicle is always in 4wheel drive

The Borg Warner (BW) model 4493/4494 NR4 transfer case is a 2-speed, full-time 4WD, transfer case. The transfer case has an external planetary type differential, which has 2 different sets of pinion gears. The planetary differential provides a 40/60 torque split front/rear full-time. This means the front and rear propeller shafts are constantly being driven for maximum traction in all conditions. A high/low planetary carrier assembly provides the high and low ranges, which is a 6-pinion gear, sun gear, and annulus gear arrangement, giving a 2.64 low range reduction ratio in the BW 4493 and a 4:1 ratio in the BW 4494.

06 hummer h3 making loud. High pitch squeling

If the squealing is coming from under the hood while the engine in running then it could be a number of things such as an idler bearing, water pump bearing, or possibly an air conditioner or alternator bearing. Other possibilities are belts that are worn or have gotten wed from a bad water pump or have loosened up because of a bad belt tensioner. Take a long bar and touch each area that seems to be making the noise. If you can feel the vibration or hear the squeal when you touch the area, then you found your noise.

2006 H 3HUMMER makes ticking sound

The ticking sound is known by GM and they left it. It is actually a lifter waiting to get enough oil to pump it up correctly. As the motor gets older this will continue longer and longer as more lifters join in. The engine will start sounding like a sewing machine. Simple Replace the oil pump with a High Volume High Pressure one, all lifter ticking will go away. Put in three of them now.

I would like to change the leather part to my automatic Shift Boot I just purchase for my H3 HUMMER 2006 Model, I just need to know how to remove the top shift knob first. Help?

This can be one of those jobs that isn't hard but it's a pain in the backside! I would suggest chocking the wheels and use the handbrake as you may need to take it out of Park to do it. The leather Gaiter is fitted as part of the centre console. Lift the lid on the centre store box, (where your elbow rests when your driving). On the top edge, level with the latch there should be access to a screw pointing down to the floor. Remove it. The centre panel, (with the cup holders in it), should lift up, screw end first. You might need to put the vehicle in Drive to get enough clearance. This should give you enough access to the underside of the gaiter. There is a small screw holding the shifter grip in place. Remove it and the gaiter and centre console should lift off. The shifter grip might be tight but should 'wriggle' off. The gaiter should be easier to remove once all this is done.

2006 H3 will not start, msg. center msg. brake abs

Have you tried to jump start the vehicle ,low voltage ? Loose battery connection's . Turn on the headlamps ,are they bright ,seam normal ? If headlamps are bright suggest you have it taken to a qualified repair shop that has a factory or professional scanner to hook up to the vehicle . Check for DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's . The electronic's on your vehicle are complex , 10-15 electronic control module's ,serial data communication network for the control module's . Ignition switch is a low voltage input to the BCM - body control module . Moving the ignition switch to the START position signals the body control module (BCM) that engine crank has been requested. The BCM verifies that theft is not active and sends a serial data message to the powertrain control module (PCM) requesting engine start. The BCM also energizes the RUN/CRANK RELAY. When the RUN/CRANK RELAY switch side closes, and the vehicle is in Park/Neutral or with the clutch fully depressed, if equipped, supply voltage is applied to the PCM CNTRL relay coil. The PCM verifies the transmission is in Park/Neutral or if the clutch is fully depressed, if equipped. The PCM will then ground the control circuit of the PCM CNTRL relay, closing the switch suppling voltage to the starter solenoid. On some vehicles the starter will continue to crank the engine with the key released until it starts, the crank command has timed out to prevent excessive heat build up in the starter circuitry or the PCM receives an engine run flag.
