DTC 63 Will Set When
No voltage is supplied by the ECM through the EST “B” line while reference pulses are received by the ECM from the crankshaft position sensor
check white wire terminal B on ignition coil to ECM terminal C14 for open circuit or short to ground while disconnected if thats ok check for voltage signal at B while cranking no signal ECU faulty. voltage signal also on A terminal while cranking and check earth terminal C to body no higher than 5 Ohms
power is terminal D 12V
if getting power, earths good, and both signal voltages are going into coil pack, coil pack is faulty.

how to change the fuel filter on a daewoo lanos

how to change the fuel filter on a daewoo lanos

Your best choice would be to get a fuel line disconnect tool. I believe daewoo uses the same type as those used on GM vehicles. Through personal experience, I recommend being very careful as the plastic disconnect on the side leading from the fuel tank can be very brittle and easily break.

Sometimes, there is not enough clearance to use the disconnect tool. You clamp this device around the tube of the fuel filter, and push it up into the fitting on the fuel line. It's purpose is to retract the 4 retaining fingers in the fuel line fitting which are spring loaded radially. These fingers tightly grip a flange on the filter tubing. From my own experience, I had to cut the fuel tubing at the body of the filter with a hacksaw. Then you can see what's going on, and maybe use the disconnect tool. I had to use a plastic sleeve for this purpose that you can buy in a kit at an auto parts store (about $10). Once the retaining fingers are retracted, you can pull the end of the filter tube out of the fuel line fitting. Be prepared to yank, pull, push, swear, curse, and maybe cry and pray. If you're lucky, the rest of the fuel filter tube will come out, you won't break anything, and your marriage will still be intact.

Good luck (remember rated this help).

2001 daewoo lanos immobiliser problem car wont

2001 daewoo lanos immobiliser problem car wont start. entered radio security code. immobiliser dash light is still on.

Radio code has no bearing on the immobiliser at all.

Normally it is down to the key not recognised. Are you using the same / usual key as before? If not then try original or another key as it may be the transponder in the key you are using.

If same key or no joy then remove the lower Black plastic steering cowls on the column (normally 3 or 4 screws) you will expose the barrell assy, on the end of this you'll see the transponder pick up ring. Disconnect from loom, apply silicone grease to pins and reconnect then try starting.

If still no joy, disconnect positive terminal off the battery, touch the lead to an earth point for 2 to 3 seconds to defuse and reset ECU, reconnect and try again.

If still noy joy you will need a garage as special reading equipment is required.

I have the same problem with my Daewoo Lanos

I have the same problem with my Daewoo Lanos immobiliser. My key transponder suddenly stopped working. I tried manual overriding the immobiliser but still the car is alarmed. I'm doomed. I don't have a spare key/transponder. Do I need to get another transponder key? Or check the existing one?

The transponder key has a chip in it.That is a programmed chip. But if this transponder key is not working then ,you will have to get the another transponder key,the other option is you can get the another key made from the local lock smith and then get the key programmed from the lock smith or from the dealer. Some lock smiths have the key programming device but if there is no lock smith in your area then you will have to get the key programmed with your dealer. Also you can try your preset key getting it re-programmed and check if it supports. ----------------- The exact procedure in which the transponder key works is as follows:---- Transponder key

Transponder keys may also be called "chip keys". Transponder keys are automotive ignition keys with signal-emitting circuits built inside. When the key is turned in the ignition cylinder, the car's computer transmits a radio signal to the transponder circuit. The circuit has no battery; it is energized by the radio signal itself. The circuit typically has a computer chip that is programmed to respond by sending a coded signal back to the car's computer. If the circuit does not respond or if the code is incorrect, the engine will not start. Many cars immobilize if the wrong key is used by intruders. Chip Keys successfully protect cars from theft in two ways: forcing the ignition cylinder won't start the car, and the keys are difficult to duplicate. This is why chip keys are popular in modern cars and help decrease car theft. Many people who have transponder keys are not aware of the fact because the circuit is hidden inside the plastic head of the key. THIS IS JUST FOR ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE ((((((On the other hand, General Motors produced what are known as VATS keys (Vehicle Anti-Theft System) during the 1990s, which are often erroneously believed to be transponders but actually use a simple resistor, which is visible in the blade of the key. If the value of the resistor is wrong, or the key is a normal key without a resistor, the circuit of the car's electrical system will not allow the engine to be started.)))))))))))))).

------------

This means that the programming of the Transponder Key has been corrupted or the Programming data of the Key in ECU ( Electric Control Unit ) has been lost or not responding. You now have to get a new Transponder Key. You can get it on E-bay for $30. After you receive it, reprogram the car to the New Transponder Key to the ECU By the lock smith or from the dealer.

---------------

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

where is the crankshaft sensor

where is the crankshaft sensor location on lanos 2001 ? I changed my camshaft position sensor and the timing belt, but the engine light still on with the same code and the mechanic said it's the crankshaft sensor that needs to be replace, but after 3 or 4 ignition cycle the light will go off then it'll go on again.

both the single cam and twin cam engines use the teeth on the crank pulley for crankshaft sensor which is bolted in bracket attached to block near oil pressure switch, hopefully you didnt dent(bent) teeth on crank pulley from dropping it or putting pulley down a bit roughly because they bend really eazy.
also is the crank pulley bolted up in correct position?
is the timming belt tension correct from when you did cam belt?
if tension wrong or timming out by a tooth it will set crank sensor codes, even possibly cam sensor codes and if you get timming out more than 3 teeth either way(advanced or ********) you will bend valves.

I wonder if your ABS sensor on one of your wheels is bad. That will make ABS light to come on. Mine was a bad wire connection on my back wheel. on one car I had.
