Surging/loss of power up steep hills in Daewoo Lanos 2001
This sounds like you may correct in saying a misfire. this sounds like a bad coil that looses power under a load. Is check engine light on?If the light is on or not go to an auto parts store like auto zone.At auto zone they will scan the computer free of charge and give you a print out of any codes. the computer will store code or codes when it detects a problem. A bad coil will make it store a code or should.see if there are any misfire codes, this code will help pin point the bad coil. if there are codes write me back and give me the code. I think this car has coil over plug ignition system. this just means instead of sparkplug wires the coil sits right on the top of the plug. Also replace spark plugs if it has been a while since they have been replaced. check air filter too. a matter of fact if you have over 70,000 miles on car tune it up. plugs, furl filter if it has one, air filter and pvc valve and clean throtle body.Okay, just checked it out, this car if a 1.6 engine then does have a coil but not on spark plug, rather coil with sparkplug wires going to plugs. try replacing spark plug wires and plugs first and if problem remains then replace the coil. let me know the results. good day
Door and Boot Locks
the problem lies in the drivers side operating switch for the central locking .this would involve removing the drivers side door handle and checking the switch mechanism thats built into the lock, havent done one o n this model only a opel astra ---but they are different from the opel although the car looks the same ,well similar pull it off have a go ,the key barrel must turn something so look for an internal switching or external switching and see if the spring is ok that returns the switch
Why does my deawoo over heat and blows hot air out
Sounds like you dont have enough coolant in the system. wait till it is cold fill up the coolant system, then start it up. as the gauge reaches operating temperature watch your cooling fans and see if they turn on. if it just gets hotter and hotter and the fans dont turn on then you may have a bad connection, blown fuse, or relay. if the fan turns on but your car continues to get hot replace your thermostat. if you are still having problems it is most likely your water pump. you may want to check the weep hole located on the bottem side of the pulley, if it is weeping water then the bearing is toast and you need to replace it, you can also loosen the belt and wiggle the pulley around, if it moves around its likely toast if it seems good and tight it should be fine, also check all heater core hoses, bypass hoses, radiator hoses for loose ends, cracked hoses, bad fittings, etc.. you can check the radiator by looking for drips while its running or my taking it in to a radiator shop and having it pressure tested.
Fuel is not getting to the filter
Hello! If you do not have have spark I would suspect a defective Camshaft Positioning Sensor (CPS)...If the engine has spark I would suspect loss of the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor signal...This sensor is often called "the fuel boss"...It can be tested with a digital multimeter...Question; Do you have a Check Engine Light on: meaning the On Board Diagnostic OBD II has stored a trouble code...Do you have a digital multimeter? Leta assume that you do...And we can eliminate the MAP from our short list....The MAP is bolted to the throttle body and has a three pin connector with the following wire colors: Light Green (sensor output)...Light Blue/Black (5 volts)...And Orange/Black (ground)...Using two safety pins push the point of one into the rear of the in-place connector into the Light green slot...Make sure the pin comes in contact with the crimp holding the wire...Push the other safety pin into the Orange/Black...Set the meter to read 5 volts...Clip the (+) probe to the Light Green and the (-) probe to the Orange/Black...Turn the key to ON...Meter must read 2 volts...If not the MAP is defective...Send a comment...Guru...saailer I’m happy to help further over the phone at
