5th gear synchronizer warn faulty damaged or dry. if you can check the level of the oil in the gearbox to see if its at it top. ( dun by adding more oil) if it overflows straight away then its full and not the problem. automatic, it can be a sensor fault either getting wrong signal from abs or the engine rev counter, or again low level of oil in auto box.

Take the actuator off and see if it is moving fully to all positions. While it is off see if you can manualy put truck in 4 low and 4 high.

Check the fuel ,if the fuel is not empty then get the fuel pressure checked.If the fuel pressure is low then its faulty fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.When fuel pressure is low,the engine does not get require fuel at its required time period so the car turns over but due to low fuel pressure it stops.But if the fuel pressure is checked ok then other possibility is low voltage in battery.Get the battery checked.It is a 12 volt battery.If battery checked out ok then get the battery to starter connection checked.If the starter to battery connection is weak then car will just crank but will not get properly started due to faulty starter. ------- Thanks.helpmech.

You must have the switch adjusted wrong, I would need to be there and see what the proper setting should be, it varies from model to model. The general rule would be that you have an air gap of about 1/16" between the brake pedal tab and the switch plunger it pushes aginst.

I would have to hear the noise to even try and guess the source and a fix, but I doubt there is a quick one.

Hi goodafternoon, I think the problem is your thermostat is bad, because I had similar issue that the rpm would be normal and then rpm goes up by itself for a while without any warning. I got an accident because of this in the winter. Hope this helps.

Best thing to do is to Google "service manual for 2000 daewoo leganza"( should be able to find a free one in pdf). The info you need will be in there. I change starter on my 2001 leganza using the service manual. Hope this helps.

Check for cracked or grounded out spark plug wires.If one of the wires of the other two cyylinders is grounded out it will not let the coil build a charge for ignition.

The idling issue could be the thermostat, the other could be transmission. Just google daewoo leganza service manual and download the pdf and see if you can find solution there. Hope this helps.
