2005 Land Rover Range Rover - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I have an 05 hse with the same issue, prought it to an electrical specialist who went in the boot and unkinked the infrared wires from all components, it worked for about a month and a few days ago it started again,when you say you "deoxed" the bluetooth harness....do you mean the nokia brain in the left rear boot or the cell phone dock in the front center console??? I have an appointment with the dealership tommorow and i hope they find the WIRING issue instead of trying to have me buy $5000 in new computers that wont fix the problem,its a common issue in this model with the logic 7 just wish someone who has already cleared this hurdle would post a solution:(...I will keep everyone updated

Did the tow company put a fuse in position 37 of the glovebox fusebox? This puts the transfer case into Transfer Neutral for towing. Refer to the Owner's Manual under Emergency Information ->Vehicle Recovery->Towing for Recovery

This is a bit old but for the future, turn the steering wheel from full lock in one direction to full lock in the other. Yes, it's weird but that's solution.

Most likely sticking due to lack of use. Have someone pull on the release lever while some one tries lifting the hood at the same time. Usually pulling the handle and banging on the hood release area will also make it pop open if no one is around to assist you. Worse case scererio is a broken/disconnected cable and that can cause problems to get the hood open

Oil? Fuel? Bearings installed properly with clearance checked? Followed all the rebuild instructions to the T. All sensors working properly? Any codes from the ECU? What was the engine doing before the rebuild? Why was it rebuilt? All factors that may influence the current crisis.

I have the same issue, has anyone yet managed to find a solution that doesn't involve changing the whole steering column?

I would just convert it to a non air ride system uunless you tow heavy loads

Crank the steering wheel while the engine is running (in park) all the way to the left until it stops then all the way to the right till it stops that will solve your problem.

Your radio probably goes on and off and you 4x4 display shows nothing too. I had the EXACT same problem. It's going to cost you a ton of money to get it fixed. HOWEVER !!!!! Fear not. Here is a link to a YouTube video that you can follow and fix it for about 25 cents. Yeah less than a dollar. The problem is that your Bluetooth link for your radio has gone bad fiber optic connection that runs through the Bluetooth unit in the back of the truck when that unit goes bad the fiber optics are no longer seeing each other connect. The fix is extremely simple and it takes about 20 minutes to do.
DO NOT GET IT FIXED AT A DEALERSHIP.
Prices range is from $750 -$2500. You don't need to link your phone to your truck. Use an ear piece or speakerphone.

Hi,try undoing the battery again and leave for 15minits then reconnect and see if that makes it wright it self again. Hope it works for you.

on newer cars when you un hook the battery it will mess the computer most of the time if you drive it for about 1000 miles the computer will reset itself if it doesn't take it somewhere where they can reset it for you

You would be better off buying the Haynes manual that covers all aspects of the vehicle. If you can afford a Range Rover Vogue, you can afford the $30 odd for a manual

sounds like your regulator has broken.

Perhaps you have parking lights on (and the blinker-stick set to 'left') ? Could be the cause of the flat battery to start with ...

This also happens when the battery is dead. If you can at least wiggle the steering wheel about 20° in either direction then the steering lock isn't the problem. (Although if you wiggle it too much it might be!)

My range rover consol shows a/v off, how do I get it back to a/v on, thank you.
