Change the Transmission Solenoid Shift Pack

Part # HPN -9L2Z7G391A

Was $515.00--- list---- many years ago
I paid $332.20 wholesale

I have that car

That code is not in the 2004 Factory Manuals
It is Generic Code for shift solenoid C

You don't have that in a 5R55S--only on part I
showed above

Should talk about the issues

If you drove it at all, even ten miles, you may already ruined
the trans

If you fail to change the fluid every 3 years their toast,ALL Vehicles

Just a 10mm bolt up against the floor pan, that will take about an
hour to loosen, to remove the wiring harness connector

The rest is child's play

7 -T30 bolts & the solenoid pack is out

For the Lincoln LS V8, there is a flexable tube on the drivers side of the engine that runs from the valve cover/crankcase to the air intake tube. There isnt a PCV valve for this engine, it is just a tube for ventilation.

The 3.9 L V8 Lincoln LS does not have a PCV valve. There is a tube on the drivers side of the engine that goes from the valve cover/crank case to the air intake and this is what performs the crankcase ventilation. There is no valve to change

No. What happens is over time, the AC system develops leaks. More often than not, you will need to address these leaks to correctly fix the issue. If it is an older car, a recharge may be all that you need as some leakage may be somewhat normal.

This code is related to the EGR system. Inspect the vaccum lines around the EGR valve and see if there are any breaks. These get brittle with age. It may be stuck open or closed as well, and if this is the case you will need to replace this. Go to rockauto.com and you should be able to find it for around $100.

Are there any additonal codes being thrown for a misfire? Coils and plugs would be a likely culprit knowing this car

Might be engaging from the drivers side

The bad coil is a staple of the LS. The best thing to do is to replace all 8 coils and plugs as the OBD is not particularly reliable for tracking down the misfire. If one is going and is bad enough to throw a code, the others likely are not far behind. One bad coil makes the others work harder.

Misfire is almost always bad spark plug and/or ignition coil. I wouldnt trust an OBDII scanner to correctly diagnose which cylinder is misfiring. Your best bet is to replace the coils in all 8 cylinders (or 6 if its a V6) since when one goes out it makes the others work harder, meaning that they arent far behind
