My 2002 Town Car won't start when the temp goes

Check the spark plugs and wires. Worn, dirty, or over-gapped plugs make it harder to start the engine in cold weather. Also, check the air filter and replace if it is dirty. If you suspect icing in the fuel system, put ethanol gas treatment in the tank (NOT methanol - this will damage the fuel pump and gaskets). When did you last change the fuel filter? Maybe it has water in it.

Problem with 2002 licoln towncar

Yes, there are 2 relays--one for low speed and one for high. They are both in the engine compartment relay box (not the one by the battery, which is where the fuses are). Each relay is fed by a separate fuse and the relays are controlled by the PCM based on engine temperature sensor output. If you want to make sure the PCM is signaling the relays, make sure the engine is hot and look for negative command signals in the relay sockets. Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check on how to interrogate relay sockets. If you get stuck, please get back to me. 9f6d6ad.gif

Blower for heater system works sometimes, not

Sounds like the motor is going out on you, the brushes get hot inside while running, then you shut it off it will cool and harden, causing them to stick, i had one that did that and all i did was kick under the dash on pas side to get it going, if it starts running your motor is sticking and will need to be replaced. on a lincoln your motor may be under the hood down the firewall from the winshield.

Dashboard shows all dashes ,drivers

You can remove the seat by 4 bolts hidden by plastic covers. There electrical problems are very hard to diagnose and find out exactly what is going on. I would say that it is the computer under the drivers seat. And a loose connection to it. I don't think that it is going to have anything to do with the actual motor. Of course it needs replaced, but don't think that it is causing the car not to start. I would remove the seat and see if you can find a connector that is not plugged in all the way or a wire that is being pinched.

I doubt if there is a lifter sticking. People who say that usually don't know what the noise is. Lifters in your car are operated by oil pressure from the oil pump in the engine. If you are low on oil you will hear lifter noise, probably from more than one lifter. If you are that low on oil, you have probably done some serious damage to your engine. In short, without tearing the engine down you can do nothing for a noisy lifter.

How di I change the spark plugs on my 2002 lincoln

Remove the coils one at a time. The plugs are under them. The coils are tucked under the fuel rail, but you don't have to remove the rail. The coils will come out, just unplug them and remove the 7mm bolt that holds it down.
