No turn signals or emergency blinkers

Turn signal/flashers do not blink. Is there a blinker relay and if so, where is it located?

I had the same problem twice before. Solved it the same way both times. In my case it was the Hazard switch at the top of the steering column. It was stuck. I knew it was that because the signal lights had been functioning perfectly until I parked my car alongside the road with the hazard lights on to do some nighttime fishing and sip a little white lightnin'. (just kiddin' about the white lightnin')

When I got back in my car to go, I turned off the hazard lights but I had no turn signal lights! So I kept pushing that hazard button up and down for about 30 times with my left turn signal arm down until it started working again. So after having this happen to me twice, I learned a valuable lesson: Don't ever use hazard signals in this car.

2001 Towncar Shudders while accelerating

As I accelerate, I feel this shuddering almost as I"m going over rumble strips (2001 TC 57,000 miles), I've heard it could be a torque converter "slipping" as well as fuel injectors, and someone told me my u-joints could be the problem.

The shuddering is pretty "pronounced" but I notice this happens prettymuch only when I'm pressing lightly on the gas. And it's frequently around 35 mph-45mph, but sometimes the shuddering doesn't even happen depending on my acceleration.

Is this my torque converter, or no. I need an air filter but I doubt it could be that..
Please someone let me know what this could be.

Yes, it's a torque convertor shudder. Flush your transmission fluid and add an additive to help shudder (shudder fix, etc). That fixes most of the vehicle, the others will need a convertor. Try to keep transmission serviced around every 30k will help this concern.

sounds like the brake pads may be metal to metal, that could be the noise problem, but until u have the system tested for the trouble code that is setin the ABS modules memory when the light comes on you are guessing, the Dealer is the only one in most cases that has the scan tool to check ABS trouble codes.

changing spark plugs on lincoln town car

Remove the spark plug wires, remove the spark plugs, replace them. Do this one cylinder at a time if you never did it. On that year you may need to remove the upper intake to access the plugs on one side. In that case go to a shop. This would not be a novice job.
