CAN NOT DEPRESS BUTTON TO SHIFT MY 1997 LINCOLN OUT OF PARK SOMETIMES

Brake light switch , wiring etc... Do you know how to test automotive electrical circuit's using a wiring diagram an a DVOM -digital volt ohm meter ? Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine size . Under system click on transmission / transaxle .Under subsystem click on shift interlock . Click the search button an then the blue link . Test the electrical circuits . Shift Interlock System An ignition/shifter interlock mechanism is installed to prevent shifting the transaxle out of the PARK position unless the ignition switch is rotated to RUN and the brake pedal is applied. The floor shift interlock system consists of:
  • an actuator assembly integral to the ignition/shifter interlock cable assembly.
  • a bracket retaining the actuator.
  • the necessary wiring.
The solenoid is energized when the ignition switch is turned to the RUN position, locking the transaxle range selector lever in the PARK position. When the brake pedal is applied and the stoplight switch (13480) is activated, the ignition/shifter interlock actuator is deactivated and the transaxle range selector lever can be moved out of the PARK position. Trunk wont unlatch with keyless entry remote or trunk release button on door on 1997 lincoln continental

It sure sounds like a fuse. You can check for proper voltage at the hot wire of the actuator while you try to pop it. I think you are overlooking the fuse. Make sure the actuator has a good ground as well.

The electric drivers seat adjuster on my 1997 Lincoln Continental will not adjust up - just makes a rasping sound and won't move the seat up, only down. Any suggestions?

Sounds like your motor/gear might be worn. Does it go down while you are sitting on it or also when no weight is present ?

Air works fine on 97 Lincoln continental but heat does not work

Probably needs a heater core replacement. Check and make sure your coolant level is good. There are two hoses that enter the passenger side firewall. With the engine at operating temperature feel both hoses. If both are about the same temo the core is fine. If one is hot and the other is cool then heater core is clogged and will need to be flushed or replaced. Replacement is very expensive on most vehicles. The part is usually cheap...around $50...the labor is high. The entire dash board of the car has to be removed to replace the heater core. Most vehicles take around 10 hours of labor time to do.

1997 lincoln still need more insight on what could be causing the constant hesitation when I just barely touch the gas pedal..

Dirty throttle body will cause hesitation. Brake clean and a tooth brush. Clean inside around where the plate sets and the back of the plate. Start the car( it will take a second or two). Then rev it up and spray some of the brake clean in the throttle. Also check the air filter. Replace if dirty.

Why after replacing the blend door acturater in my 1997 lincoln which I had a code 024 for is it blowing just hot air now??

I am not aware of any obd codes that show up for what you are describing as a 024. The blend door actuator replacement is documented: http://www.markviii.org/LOD2/blend_door_repair.htm and I would have to say that it is either bad or installed wrong.

How to remove old air filter and install new one.

Remove hose that comes from engine to filter. Just remove the filter end of air hose, Remove the clamp on filter housing, then pull out filter and replace it. Reinstall the opposite from removal. God-Bless you and your family! Sometimes the air hose sticks to housing so use a screw driver to release it.
