The cable on my window partially broke and became frayed and so doesn't work anymore. I need to remove and replace the regulator but since I can't really see inside the door very well, I'm not sure exactly what to do. I have a Chilton's manual but it mostly just says to remove the bolts and retainer. I don't know where these are located or what they might look/feel like in there. If anybody has some type of schematic or a walk-through it would be very helpful.
you have to replace your window regulator. to do this you have to remove the 7 rivets holding the regulator, the window motor and window. first, take a punch and pop the centers out of rivets. then drill them out. this will allow you to remove old parts. then reverse the process. you will need special rivets from Ford and a large rivet gun.

when i got the car the air ride acted like it was working but the check air suspension light would come on and go off and some time it would blow the fuse this morrning i went somewere now the light is on will not go off and stay off the Rear air suspension is down its not all the way down but all most sometimes you could here the air compessor for Rear air suspension working but now it's not coming on pluss the ABS light is on someone please help this is my only ride
thanks
There is a way to permanately fix the solution to air ride suspension- get rid of them. Go online and there are several companies selling parts to replace everything you need- or do the smart thing and take them out and replace them with lifetime shocks. You can convert your car for a fraction of the price and never have to deal with them again.
I am sooo glad I did it on my car. It rides just as smooth too. Also, you don't have to worry about eroding boots, failing compressors/pumps, etc.
Suncore Industries is who I used and the things have been champ for 3 years running. And for only $249.00. No I don't work there!

airbag flashes 10 times misses a flash then flashes 10 times an misses again (1991 Town Car)
Try clearing the codes & see if it returns. I do not see a code fault 10. Starts at 12.

Section 01-20B: Restraints, Passive — Supplemental Air Bag System
1995 Town Car, Crown Victoria, Grand Marquis Workshop Manual
DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING
Diagnostic Trouble Code Clearing
Procedure to Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes from Diagnostic Monitor Non-Volatile Random Access Memory.
Normal Operation
The air bag diagnostic monitor (14B056) continually checks the air bag system for readiness. When a fault condition is detected, the DTC associated with that fault is stored in the air bag diagnostic monitor's Non-Volatile Random Access Memory (NVRAM). After writing the DTC to NVRAM, the air bag diagnostic monitor signals the fault by flashing the appropriate diagnostic trouble code on the air bag indicator.
The diagnostic trouble code written to NVRAM is permanently stored in the air bag diagnostic monitor until cleared by the diagnostic trouble code clearing procedure.
Example: Due to corrosion, high resistance develops on the driver side air bag circuit. The air bag diagnostic monitor stores a diagnostic trouble code 32 in NVRAM. Upon each cycle of the ignition switch , the air bag diagnostic monitor checks the resistance of the driver air bag circuit.
Once a fault has been serviced, the associated diagnostic trouble code may be cleared from NVRAM. Only diagnostic trouble codes that the air bag diagnostic monitor sees as repaired or intermittent may be cleared (diagnostic trouble codes 52 and above). In no circumstances can hard fault conditions (diagnostic trouble codes 45 and below) be cleared.

These things don't work with engine running:
1. Turn signals lights and no clicking in car
2. 4 way flashers lights no clicking in car
3. Brake lights on the tail lights (The middle light at the bottom of the rear window lights up when the brake is depressed.)
4. The turn signals were intermittently working before this problem showed up like a few weeks before the problem. I can't remember exactly what it was but the turn signal clicking in the car was slow or fast or different someway. I assumed I had a bad turn signal light.
These things do work:
1. head lights, tail lights, parking lights
2. All auxillary stuff in the car
What I have looked at:
1. Checked all the fuses, visually pulled them all, under dash and under the hood
2. Cleaned the battery posts
3. Wiggled the turn signal switch around
Is there anyway to get a wiring schematic of this car for free?
Your help would be wonderful. I would like to get today back to do something. Thanks, Bill
If only your brake light in middle of rear window works then your other bulbs are bad. If brake lights all work in the back than bulbs are good. If you put turn signal on right or left and the bulbs light in front and back then you need to change multifunction light control box under dash. My understanding is it cost $600 new. So I would try used.

im looking for an exlpoded diagram of a 95 lincoln towncar 4.6 engine whare can i find this .. more specifically im trying to figure out how much im going to have to go through to get at one of my hoses that runs right under the top of the engine
If your talking about the heater pipe and hose under the intake....(to ease removal you can remove the inlet air cowl/wipers/etc.) remove upper intake/coils/fuel line etc. the tube is bolted to the back of the RT head...replace the entire tube/hose assemble....IF the tube at the frt of the block is corroded/damaged/etc. you will need to replace that also (remove waterpump for access and installation)...change you T/Stat at this time also....hope this helped you...GL

My car has a keypad unlock code on the door but I can't seem to work the code. There are 5 buttons, each has two numbers on it (1-2)(3-4)(5-6)(7-8)(9-0),my code is 18839 and i can't get it to work. Is there a way to reset the code or change it? or am I doing something wrong? also my trunk will not pop with the key remote. and will not unlock or lock unless I'm 5 feet from the car.. which isn't a big deal but I know they usually work from a much larger distance.
it's in owner manual. But, first you have to enter your original code and it must work. then you press the 1 button and then enter a new 5 digit code, then press the 1 button again.
Keyless Entry Keypad
To unlock the driver front door (20124) , and disarm the anti-theft alarm control (19A366) , (if equipped):
To unlock the passenger door(s), press the 3/4 button within five seconds of unlocking the driver door or luggage compartment.
To unlock the luggage compartment door (40110), press the 5/6 button within five seconds of unlocking driver or passenger door(s).
To turn on the courtesy lamps and light all illuminated components, lift either front door handle (22404) or press any button on the keyless entry keypad (14A626) .
To lock all doors, press the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons at the same time with all doors closed. (It is not necessary to enter the key code first.)
This will turn off courtesy lamps and arm anti-theft alarm control (if equipped).
To program an alternate code:
