Battery going down
First; have your charging system tested and the battery tested. Autozone, Advance, and Oreilys will do this free.Once you determine if those items are good you can go on to other things. The more power options you have; the more potential problems you can have. Some window motors had problems. Tracing Electrical drains is time consuming and it would have been better for the circuit to just fail so you could find it easier. For some models the Dealers have wiring harnesses which the Dealer runs through a test machine as it duplicates the actual wiring inside your car. As the tests are made, the connectors are replaced with the test harnesses until the problem is found. Please rate my info.
Fuel pump in a 1997 town car
i have successfully fixed my problem. the pump is located at the front of the fuel tank and is accessible without, i repeat WITHOUT removing the tank.
What could be causing a loud squealing noise from front of motor
You have to buy or own a very inexpensivestethoscope at parts store or onlineNo other way to listen to things like yourtrying to findYou could remove the belt & spin pulleys by hand& use the stethoscopeYou may find that the bottom pulley or harmonicbalancer is worn & is moving the drive belt out oflocation causing other pulleys to make noise
Some time when i start my car the engine will make a humming sound. and some time when i am driving the engine will make the same noise.
Turn off the airconditioning to see if that helps. If it does, then it is likely the airconditioning compressor.Remove the water pump drive belt. Feel the water pump for free play. If excessive, then replace the pump. You can try spinning it too to see if it's noisy.WIth the drive belts off, start the car for a few seconds. Twenty seconds tops should do it. Not too long as it will overheat. Is the noise still present. If not, then check all pump bearings, pulley bearings, tensioner bearings, water pump etc as the noise is one of those things.
My 1995 Lincoln Town Car will not turn o
You have no relay to your starter motor. If the starter motor isn't cranking, then first check the battery voltage. It should be around 12.5 volts. When you crank with the lights on, then do they dim considerably? That's usually a sign of a week battery. If when you crank, you hear no click of the starter motor solenoid, then that could be your issue. If you hear a click, but no cranking, then that's likely the starter motor itself which could be faulty, but do check the condition of the battery leads and connection to the starter motor assembly.
Heater does not work, doors open ok but
Air
Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on
where door sticks)
In
all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive
that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the
AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air
temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this
door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common
complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these
parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire
dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or
qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.
Other
causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck
open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.
Engine got a skip
well do a tune up on engine if missing.replace spark plugs and wires.replace distributor cap and rotor.replace ignition coil.clean fuel injectors and replace fuel filter.if all fails. if engine has high mileage could have low compression due to worn cylinders burned valves. do a compression check see condition of engine.vacuum leaks and leaking egr valve cause engine miss.
