No speedometer or cruise control and a check engine light all point to the VSS(vehicle speed sensor) on the transmission.Take it to a parts store that does free code scans(like Auto Zone) to verify the code(should be P0500-P0503).Or,take a chance and just change the sensor.

Fuel pump is where I would check next. Your mechanic can do a fuel pressure test to verify this is a fuel problem.

You need to complete the OBD2 drive cycle test. it takes time.

The code is telling you there is a problem with the MAP sensor which measures vacuum in the intake and outside air pressure. The sensor needs to be tested and possibly replaced.

ho2s heater control circuit may need to be check
