One place to look is the alternator. There are diodes in the alternator that occasionally short out to ground. Take off the hot wire on the alternator and retest amperage draw. No fuse in that circuit.

Unless it is a big enough leak to drain your engine of oil, it won't affect your engine's performance at all. A clean engine is always good to have and any major leaks will fail a roadworthy test. Some leaks can be fixed by tightening the fasteners a little.
