WHAT TO LOOK FOR IF THE IS ENGINE LEAK

I'm presuming an oil leak?Check around the sump where it bolts to the bottom end. Visually inspect the sump for holes (altho you would be losing oil pretty severly if there is). Check around the oil filter, might not be sealed right. One way to narrow the leak location is get a sheet of card and put it on the ground under the engine bay overnight. It should show you where the oil is dripping from or what its dripping off. Also Accents have a habbit of dropping oil level very quickly when they are getting close to requiring an oil top up.

How do you put radiator in 1999 hyandai accent

1) Drain radiator by removing cap, and bottom radiator drain bung or bottom hose.2) Remove top hose.3) Disconnect the radiator fan's wiring and any temperature sensor wiring if fitted.4) Remove radiator retaining clasps5) Disconnect radiator bottom hose.6) If fitted with an auto box, then remove automatic gearbox oil pipes (Underside)(you might wat to clasp these so they don't leak oil everywhere)7) Remove radiator expansion bottle feed pipe from top of radiator.8) Ease out the radiator. If the radiator fan is getting stuck or caught up, then drop the radiator back down and remove the fan first after disconnecting from the radiator body.9) With new and old radiator placed side by side on a soft surface, change across any components from the old radiator, which didn't come with the new one. These may or may not include such things as: cap, fan retaining screws or clips, bottom radiator seating rubbers, rubber fan shrouding, temperature sensor, top and bottom rubber hoses.10) Rebuild by reversing the above instructions. Apply silicone pipe sealant to top and bottom hose locations. Make sure you clean and/or replace any heavily corroded metal pipes which connect to the radiator. (Now is also a good opportunity to replace the thermostat to be on the safe side)11) Fill system with a fresh 50/50 water/antifreeze mix, flush out and refill expansion bottle. Just before you refill the system, turn the interior heater setting up to maximum heat, but do not start the vehicle.12) Top radiator up to max. Gently massage the top radiator hose to help eliminate air from the system.13) Once filled, start the car. Pay attention to the temperature. Keep topping up the radiator as bubbles come around the system and the coolant level drops. At the point no more bubbles appear, close off the radiator with the cap. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature. If the weather is cold you may want to hold the engine at around 2,500 revolutions to help build heat faster. Keep it running until the radiator fan kicks in, then let it idle for a couple of minutes.14) Stop the engine and let it cool.15) Once cool, open the radiator cap and top up again if level is low.16) Road-test the vehicle. After returning check again for any leaks.Running the car for the first few days after radiator replacement, check the radiator level and expansion bottle level every day for the first two or three days. This level may drop slightly as any trapped air pockets are pushed out while running. Also, it is possible that any small leaks may begin after adding fresh anti-freeze to the system. If you begin loosing fluid over these first few days, then re-inspect your work and run a cooling system pressure test.

Wat are codes p0304,p0302,p0300,p0134,p1124

The 300 codes are for engine miss, 300 is random, 302 is cylinder number 2, and 304 is cylinder number 4. Code 134 is for a dead O2 sensor and code 1124 is brand specific, for your car it means the fuel system is too lean.Code 134 could be a faulty sensor or a wiring problem, and it could cause the other codes. Or the code 1124 could be a fuel pressure problem and that could also cause the other codes.I would probably start with checking the fuel pressure and for vac leaks, then check the sensor to see if it is working. The cylinder miss codes could be fuel problems or ignition related.

Standard transmission wont shift into 1st gear

Hi Eric, If by standard shift you're talking about a manual transmission, check the clutch fluid first. Open the hood (bonnet) and on the fire wall at the back of the engine compartment you will see two reservoirs. One is for the brakes and the other for the clutch. Open the smaller of the two and check the fluid level. If it is empty as I suspect, it means that either the master or slave cylinder is leaking which will mean replacing the defective unit. The other reason could be a defective clutch assembly. To repair the clutch assembly means removing the gearbox and that is a fairly big job. The first job is not very major, but the second is. If you do not like dirty hands it would be better to have a shop do the work, but if you would like to try I'll be here to help. Let me know. Regards John

To much oil

Too much oil is a bad thing. If it's smoking then you have way way to much oil. Drain some out. It's a royal pain but considering what all that burning oil is doing to your expensive oxygen sensors and catalytic converter is worth the trouble. Do it with the engine cold as hot oil hurts. Just loosen the drain plug enough to let oil drain a little and tighten it back up only not too tight, about a quarter to a half turn past finger tight is more than enough. If the oil is black it needs changing anyway.

Hundai Accent 1999, back lights ( brake) - they light constantly

Your vehicle's brake lamp switch is located on top of the brake pedal arm bracket. Most brake lamp switches can be adjusted if they cause the lamps to stay on, however sometimes a replacement of the switch is the only solution.

1999 Hyundia accent door handles won't work

Go to ebay I bought two new outer handles and two inners for my '97 accent. They are five bucks a piece you can't beat it and free shipping. Take the inner panel apart if you're going to change them yourself. You have the mirror guard that pops right off with a flathead screwdriver, then unscrew every philips-head bolt on the panel there should be roughly four screws. Then once you remove the panel, two 10 mm bolts for the handle which are inside the door are what hold the handle on. Good Luck! http://www.ebay.com/sch/Car-Truck-Parts-/6030/i.html?_nkw=1997+Hyundai+Accent+door+handle
