Try some Lucas transmission medic. Also make sure that you have the correct weight oil. The warm tells me that as the oil lube thins down it circulates fine. Adjust to a lighter weight oil.

Fixed egr vac sys on 98 hyundai sonata 3.0 v6 now engine runs rough

It sounds like a vacuum problem is keeping the EGR valve open causing the other sensors to read this and more fuel would be injected by the ECM. u may of gotten an egr code but the problem is not the valve itself.

Find the interior fuse box on an Australian 1998 Hyundai Sonata? There should be a panel with a clip out door near/under the steering column put mine does not have one, it is solid plastic panels both

No promises but this is the only reference I could find for Hyundai where the fuse box was not behind a panel to the bottom side of steering wheel. It may inspire you to look elsewhere behind items. Good Luck. "The interior fuse panel is located behind the coin holder pull out drawer, which is on the lower left side of the dashboard"

You had alot apart to do your work, and I suspect the IAC motor has dirty passages, or EGR does.

Isn't that off the same one ignition coil? If it is, it is probably a bad coil.

it sounds like the oil sending unit which is an inexpensive part and simple to replace it should be located between radiator and engine on the side of the oil pan

I need a diagram of timing marks for a hyundai sonata 98 2.5L EF

Yoy will get a diagram and how to do it from a workshop manual (Gregorys or haynes) as it is involved to explain here. Strongly suggest you have a hyundai qualified mechanic do it as it will save you money in the long run. IT is not just belts that need replacing but idler pullets and hydraulic adjuster (if you have one) as well as crank seal and cam shaft seal. Oil is the biggest killer of timing belts and all except the pulleys have oil in their presence.
