Pull the cluster and make sure the connector is tight that is at the back of the instrument cluster.

You should have a trouble code or codes for the cylinder that is not producing power.Once you know which cylinder, you need three things to make power.Spark, fuel, and compression. One of the three components is lacking, such as a faulty injector or mechanical problem.

this will be the ECM reporting a fault count the number of short or long flashes and short or long intervals between flashes to be able to find out the code and fault.

Check your brake fluid. The same light is used for the brake fluid level as well as the parking brake.

Remove air filter, warm up engine, plug the IAC port (the small hole in the bottom of throttle body) the adjust idle screw c/wise or anti c/wise to set rpm. REMOVE IAC plug and check the performance. Good luck.

These engines have a timing chain, not a belt. They also have nylon coated guides under the cover that wear. If you change the chain yourself, or have it done, check the guides as well.

Go out and turn the key to the on position and see if you hear a whine coming from around the gas tank which is the fuel pump priming the fuel system. You should be able to hear it from your seat, but if not, have somebody get down and look under the car to see if they hear it. If you don't hear anything, then it is most likely a fuel pump or possibly the fuel pump relay. Everytime I have not heard a noise, though it was not the relay. Hope that helps.

sounds like the fule injector might be clogged, if you are not able to a garage should easily be able to clean it out, might just be the points that spray it in to start engine, look inside and wipe and clean every thing you can, pump up the gas pedal several times before starting and keep pumping when turning over
