Can you clarify a little better . does not crank ??? As when you turn the key to the start position nothing happens ? The starter does not engage an spin the engine ? Control module has nothing to do with that . Park neutral safety switch maybe, ignition switch possibly, main B+ cable from battery to the starter solenoid. If you would look at a wiring diagram to see what all is involved in the starting system on your vehicle an testing the starter electrical circuit's . Doing voltage drop testing on the starter main B+ circuit .. Starter Voltage Drop Don't keep changing out the starter , that is not it. Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know
forget the plugs and wires that is a mechanic scam the more likely misfire is from dirty fuel and bad injectors and low fuel pressures just use a couple of cans of quality injector cleaner first Plugs in modern electronic controlled engines can last the entire life of the engine or more than 10 years if left alone again take it to an accredited transmission specialist shop for a better diagnosis and quote or you could wind up being told that you need a new transmission
Testing the electrical inputs to the control module from the switch . Testing power an ground circuits to the switch . As a professional technician this is how i go about find what is wrong ! Not just replacing parts , that gets expensive. Do you know what a wiring diagram is ,an how to use one to pin point areas to do testing ? It's an automatic, it is supposed to upshift and downshift by itself. That why you paid extra for it, so you didn't have to do all that extra thinking and work of moving the shifter.
That wire carries the current to charge the battery. If it breaks, the battery voltage will drop and the car will not run correctly, if at all. It may start and run for a few seconds then cut off.
Yes it is replaceable, the whole front sub frame will have to be replaced. Auto salvage yards carry these used at a reasonable price, it is a lot of work to do this though.
Check the battery terminals and posts are shiny clean and tight. Check that the earth wire from the battery is connected to a good clean earth point and is tight. Check that the battery leads are not corroded and ready to break at a terminal
Does it crank and not start after that? If so it is your fuel pump. That year model was known to have some fuel pump issues. Also the crankshaft position sensor can cause this same problem. If the rpm gauge goes erratic when it is turning off it is most likely the crank sensor.
you do not a injector pulse from ecm could be crank sensor , coil pack, antitheft in enabled . first thing that needs to be done is have it scanned buy some body you can trust its probably a coil pack if you scan it and you have no codes I would go ther first
