I have a saturn 2002 L200 the security light keeps tripping as i turn it on and . wont start keeps draining battery. how can i fix this

there are several TSB's pertaining to the anti-theft system. the best option is to see what part of the anti-theft system is not working. There should be codes in the theft module. you will need a high end scan tool to get these. anything less than $1,500 will not get these codes. You will likely have to get a GM dealer or a good independent shop to help you with this. Once the problem is resolved the anti theft can be relearned if necessary and you should be fine until the next thing goes wrong... Why does my saturn sound so bad when idles?

if the car is loud/noisy there is a hole in the exhaust system and this will cause a rough idle because of a loss of back pressure and the vales will not open and close properly resulting in the rough idle it also will make the engine run hotter and this will cause your spark plug gaps to increase and the spark will be less than needed to ignite the fuel in the cylinder for proper combustion which will result in poor gas mileage and lack of power is the check engine light on?

When you replace transmission out of another saturn, you must get the computer out of that car as well. It is programmed for that car and can differ. You may have to get your computer reprogrammed to suit it

Can I clean a clogged catalytic converter

No not usually, unless it is one of the very early models, that did have a drain port to drain out the BB size cleaning material. however it is much easier just to replace the CC and since 1979 they stopped making a CC that you could clean.

Cheap parts for your cars.(Applicable to all cars)

Nowadays most of us are looking more and more into buying cheap, used cars. These, of course, usually come with all the problems associated with cheap, used cars. As we know, taking a car to a mechanic to get it fixed is costly, and that’s why we turn to expensive repair manuals. Then, having these repair manuals and now ready to fix our car’s problems, we see the need for cheap, but still functioning, auto parts. We use these to replace the malfunctioning or broken parts on our cars, and they usually come with a higher price than we expect or are willing to pay. So should we pay?

NO! Not if you know where to look.

One of the first things that come to our minds is where to buy used parts?
The answer. Junkyards.

But is it too hard to find junkyards around these days? NO! For the most part, the modern-day “junkyard” has been turned into a Self Service Auto Parts venue. They are available in most US states under a variety of different names. With a small entry fee, you gain access to their whole stock of “junk” cars. Once inside, you can find anything from complete engines to used tires and brake pads, anything that is a part of the car. Another thing to remember before entering the Auto Parts Yard, is to always ask the cashier whether they have your specific year, make, and/or model of car. Often, they will point you in the right direction or even give you a list of all the cars they have that match a certain part you are looking for.

All you need is a tool box containing all the necessary tools, and some basic skills in opening or removing various sections of a car. Most parts come under $5 a piece or pair.

Bottom line. Take a look around your city or state, and it will be well worth it!
NOTE: it's applicable to all cars but the option here lets it to be only identical to one car.
