If you had mentioned an economical car, did you mean the cost of the car or the cost of running?
Also are you looking for a diesel or a petrol, type off use you have( the mileage per year), are you a speedster, do you need a sedan, hatchback or sports model, etc.the capacity of the engine, seating capacity.
Now a good
assessment can be done based on these inputs and I shall try to help.
So please respond back.

Wont start when warm without pumpin gas, and
A high rev problem is due to either carbon build up in the iac passage's not letting the iac close to normal idle or the iac is just bad and stuck in that position.
iac= idle air control solenoid
Inside the throttle body intake is a butterfly and just above that is a small opening that the iac uses to move air past the butterfly and this sometimes gets plugged with carbon build up so spray some carb cleaner down through the passage, and sometimes you have to remove the 4 bolts and take the throttle body off to clean them out.
Saturns are known for carbon problems, and they are hard on egr systems,I recommend using sea foam a couple times a year to help fight the carbon build up,just follow the direction and use it in the fuel and vaccum lines as directed but do it on a warm engine and let sit for a couple hours so the sea foam has time to loosen the carbon
Won't start till the morning
CLOGGED FUEL INJECTORS IS CAUSING ENGINE TO FLOOD.THE INJECTORS IS LEAKING WITH ENGINE OFF.TRY CLEANING FUEL INJECTORS FILL GAS TANK UP.PUT A BOTTLE OF INJECTOR CLEANER IN FUEL TANK.DRIVE AROUND SO THE INJECTOR WILL CLEAN OUT THE INJECTORS.CHANGE AIR FILTER OR FUEL FILTER.THEY ARE DUE AT 30000 MILES .ALSO SCAN IT TO CHECK ECT AND IAT SENSORS THEY CAUSE STARTING PROBLEMS.
I have a 2001 saturn sc1...i was driving stopped
Your radio and most of your accessories will still work with a low charged battery. The clicking sound you are experiencing is most likely from a low charged battery not giving enough amperage to the starter. Were you able to start the car after getting a boost? If so, then it is your battery. Does your car cut out while driving? If so, then it is your alternator (device that charges your battery while the car is running). It is either the battery or alternator.
2 codes show up on the reader.
The P0341 code is a code indicating that the cam position sensor circuit is out of range or not performing properly. The P0404 code indicates the EGR is out of range or not performing properly.
Those codes seem rather odd to have together. If the cam sensor was bad I would expect some driveability issues or possibly even issues with getting the vehicle started. The EGR could cause some idle issues.
I just cant get past that those codes seem so unrelated, they are for two different systems. If you are not experiencing any driveablity issues, I would clear the codes with either a scan tool or just disconnect the battery for a few minutes. If they come back then yes, I would have it looked at. You could try replacing the Cam position sensor, and see if that helps, but the EGR is a bit more challenging and would be a more costly item to replace.
Hope this helps out.
I have a 1995 Saturn
I think you should go for manual first after that it would be easy for you to solve your problem. I had visited this site past 2 months before for my vehicle and find it quite helpful may be you will also get something useful here

Look up the Platform letter of the car, any other Saturn that uses the same Platform will likely bolt in. Here is an example of a platform letter, a 1990 Mustang is "F" body platform. A 1989 Olds Cutlass is a "G" and so on. Sorry I don't know Saturn's, but if you google it I'm sure you can locate the info.
