sounds like your starter could be heating up on you, check to see if any exhuast pipe runs close to the starter, and see if the starter has a shield protecting it from heat.

Were is the starter located

On the Saturns the starter will be on the back side of the motor on the drivers side midway up the block bolted into the transmission housing. Before you remove your starter remove the ground cable on your battery before taking any wires off of the starter to prevent shorting anything .There should be 2 bolts that hold the starter in place and to bolts holding the wires on.Hope this helps you a little bit.

When engaging clutch to shift

Your idle air controller (IAC) is hanging up and it needs to be removed and cleaned-remove the throttle body and clean everything, it makes taking the IAC out to clean much easier. IF you don't have a check engine light, you will soon. Cleaning the throttle body, the IAC and checking the throttle position sensor is very easy to do on these engines, I have one with 178,000 miles on it.

I HAVE A 2000 SC

Have you checked for fuel at the engine and also at the cylinders? If your getting voltage to a nw pump while cranking the starter, there's no reason why it shouldn't be moving fuel. Disconnect the fuel line at the engine and crank the starter to see if fuel is reaching the engine. If the pump is working, the fuel should come out at high pressure. If there is no fuel at the engine, disconnect the fuel filter, if it is independent of the fuel pump. Crank the starter again. If there is no fuel reaching the filter, then I would say the pump is no good. Unless there is some sort of restriction in the fuel line. If you do get fuel at the engine, pull a spark plug and see if fuel has reached the cylinders. If the plug is dry, it's an injector problem. If the plug is wet, you have an ignition problem.

Car does not want to

Sounds like you may have a bad coolant temp. sensor, scan your system for trouble codes, it may tell you, or just change it, at least you'll eliminate one possibility.

My wipers have a mind

Common Saturn problem, generally the return to rest circuit in the motor is bad, so they work even when the switch is OFF. You need to get a new wiper motor, parts store about $100, $450 from a GFM dealer. You may have to pull the top off the dash and go in under to get the motor swapped. get a repair manual on eBay or do some searches on youtube, there will be videos of folks pulling Saturn wiper motors.

Found out to big of

I suspect you had the correct size belt the first time - but your tensioner may be letting things get sloppy, even though it feels tight. Put the old belt back on and closely inspect the belt as it sits on the tensioner - you may find it sits slightly out of alignment and is throwing the belt under load. Once you have the belt on, block all 4 tires and get a helper you trust to start the engine and put it in Reverse as they stand on the brake pedal. Now have them accelerate the engine slowly as you watch the belt and tensioner while you stand to the side of the vehicle. I think you will see the belt loosen and come off due to the tensioner. You didn't state the year or make of the vehicle so I can only offer generalized instructions. If you see the belt loosen even a little, then replace that tensioner.
Hope this helps and Thanks for using Fixya!!

Check all your pulleys on the motor. It may possibly be a bad ac compressor motor. There are by pass pulley kits you can buy at any parts store.

HOW TO REMOVE A STARTER

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5973094-starter_replace . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info. I have pasted specific instructions for your car below from autozone.com

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION See Figures 2 through 10

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle safely.
  3. If equipped, remove the starter shield pin by pulling on it with pliers, then lift and release the shield from the solenoid.
  4. Spray the solenoid electrical connection nuts and studs with penetrating oil, and allow it to seep in for a minute to loosen the connections. While the oil is soaking in, tag the solenoid electrical connectors for identification during assembly.
It is very important that the solenoid electrical connection nuts and studs are sprayed with penetrating oil prior to removal to avoid damage to the solenoid end cap. A cracked cap will allow debris and moisture to enter and corrode the solenoid contacts.
  1. Carefully loosen the bolts and detach the starter electrical connectors. Position the wires to the side and out of the way.
  2. Remove the lower starter mounting bolt.
  3. Using an obstruction wrench, remove the upper starter mounting bolt. If the upper starter mounting bolt cannot be reached from below the vehicle, it may be accessible from above, through the intake manifold support bracket opening.
  4. If equipped, remove the bolt attaching the starter rear support bracket to the vehicle. Rotate the starter until the bracket misses the axle shaft support bracket.
  5. Carefully support the starter, pulling it rearward and toward the left side of the vehicle to remove it.

Fig. Fig. 7: ... then remove the bolt from the vehicle jturcotte_49.gif Fig. Fig. 8: If accessibility is limited from below the vehicle, use the opening in the intake manifold support bracket to reach the upper starter bolt jturcotte_50.gif

Fig. Fig. 9: Remove the rear mounting bracket bolt, then remove the starter from the vehicle jturcotte_51.gif Fig. Fig. 10: If the starter is to be replaced, remove the bracket from the old starter To install:

  1. If equipped on the old starter, install the rear starter support bracket to the new starter. Tighten the bracket nuts to 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm).
  2. Guide the starter into the bell housing and rotate the assembly until the lower bolt hole in the starter aligns.
  3. Verify that the bracket is properly aligned and loosely install the bracket bolt, then loosely install the starter mounting bolts. It may be necessary to raise or lower the vehicle for access to both the upper and lower bolts, but do not tighten any bolts until all of the mounting bolts have been started.
  4. Tighten both upper and lower starter assembly attachment bolts to 27 ft. lbs. (37 Nm).
  5. Reconnect the electrical wires and install the nuts. Be careful not to overtighten the nuts and crack the solenoid end cap. Route the wiring cable so it will not contact any rough surfaces. Tighten the starter positive terminal nut to 89 inch lbs. (10 Nm) and the solenoid terminal nut to 44 inch lbs. (5 Nm).
  6. If equipped, install the starter shield and push pin, being careful that the pin is positioned for possible future removal.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable and verify operation.

The radiator and thermostat have

better guess is that the core is plugged, that is why it is warm on one side but not the other and why no heat is being transferred from the coolant to the metal of the core. please search over on youtube for a video of someone changing a core before you decide to do it yourself, it is quite a pain and unless you have no choice you should pay someone who knows what they are doing.
