You might have changed the wrong sensor. There are two. The cooling fan sensor will be closer to the radiator, either plugged into the radiator or the thermostat housing. One sensor is for the temp gauge and the other is for the cooling fan, good luck.

You can swap coils, to see if the condition moves. You can also do this with injectors, or try to "ohm" them out and look for a different reading. I would also swap plug wires to determine if that may be the issue. A compression test may also be a good idea.

I have a 1994 saturn

How much are you going to spend to fix two minor problems on a 500 dollar car. First you answer that question, then you look on www.youtube.com for a video of someone pulling an instrument cluster on a 91-95 Saturn. If you cannot find one then look for a repair manual on CD over on eBay for about 5 bucks. If pulling the cluster seems to be within your ability, then go looking for a used cluster at junkyards, craigslist, and ebay. Also keep your eye out for a Saturn odometer repair kit on eBay. Either you are going to buy a used cluster, repair it and install it or you are going to pull yours out fix the odometer and reinstall it. The broken odometer is a common Saturn fault and you may still find folks selling odometer repaired clusters for the early 90s Saturns on eBay.
The gas gauge is problematic in that you are going to have to drop the gas tank and replace the fuel level sender, while you are in there do the pump as well and save duplicating the labor next year.
I think there are folks out there selling the pump and sender combined for about 200 dollars.
When you have spent a lot of time and money fixing these minor problems, you will still have a 500 dollar car. I think you could buy a good later model for less money, I had 4 Saturns and I think the 99 was the best year, stay with a manual transmission.
