Look up the Platform letter of the car, any other Saturn that uses the same Platform will likely bolt in. Here is an example of a platform letter, a 1990 Mustang is "F" body platform. A 1989 Olds Cutlass is a "G" and so on. Sorry I don't know Saturn's, but if you google it I'm sure you can locate the info.

You will need a torque angle gague to properly torque these bolts. The torque for a SOHC engine is 22lb in correct sequence on the first pass and 37lb in correct sequence on the second pass. You need then install a torque angle gague and in sequence go 90 degrees

Clogged radiator, worn out water pump fins, oil pump failing, head gasket blown and leaking into the cylinders, thermostat stuck closed.

Unfortunatly if you bypass the compressor pulley the belt will end up being too long for the rest of the pulleys
But there is a good side to this cause if you go to kragen or a reliable auto parts store you can purchase a pulley kit that replaces things like this and they only cost about 20 dollars or less ok?

. This vehicle doesnt have a camshaft position sensor, it uses the crankshaft position

you can feel it,put your finger on a relay and set turn signal on. you chould feel a click.left side or passenger side is a cover.

Usually, on the left kick panel of passengers side.

Common problem with that trans, could be a bad harness, the one that plugs in to the top pan on the trans, if still no reverse, the used trans may have the same problem as the original trans did!

Could be the fan motor, fuse, relay, or temp sensor. It should also come on with the a/c if the a/c works.

u will need to pull the trans and replace the torque converter front seal.

Can you get the code scanned from Autozone? This will be most helpful and possibly save us the diagnostic trouble.

Do you recall refueling before this problem occours? Or does it seem to not be relateted?

These symptoms can be a result of quite a few different componets failing. GM did release a TSB on this issue, they have included a customer complaint form, to get more of the symtoms documented. I looked into the no start problem thouroughly as possible, without actually having the car here. This symptom could easily be 5 or 6 different issues.

If you could fill out the customer form in the TSB that I have lined right below.

Additionally, I think a good place to start will be testing the Camshaft and Crankshaft Position sensor.

1. Test Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor resistance. It should be around 900 ohms.
2. Freeze the sensor overnight. Monitor resistance while warming the sensor with a heat gun. If the sensor goes open or high resistance, it is defective.
3. Check the battery cables for arching.

Damage could be extensive or light.......depends on if you ran it with the oil light on or pressure dropped?
What does the oil look like when you stick it after it's hot? Get that oil filter off there now and replace the oil with a good quality 5w-20 ,a new filter, and a can of `Sea-Foam' engine oil additive. and run it easy.
The new oil should lick up the tarry stuff slowly,if it has any.If you notice ANY DROP IN OIL PRESSURE, check the oil right then and there.
You'll have to do an oil change again soon,say less than 200 miles to be safe.don-ohio
