I take it that you have a standard transmission ? there is no adjustment, but on the saturns the plastic insert on the shifter lever (remove the center console) is what breaks, Napa auto parts has the replacement part for about $20, or you can go to saturn and spend $200 on replacing both cables

most likely things are 1. Bad dash switch for the compressor. 2. Bad compressor relay. 3. Low refrigerant pressure 4. Fuse

Won't turn over as in nothing? Or won't fire? First place to start is the battery .Either charge this one up or take it out and go along to a parts place to have it charged and load tested.Once you know the battery is good you can go from there.Work your way,battery cables(clean them) make sure they are nice and tight,starter solenoid(you should hear a clicking sound),and finally down to the starter. good luck

i guess an idiot could open the glove box get out the owner's manual and read it, instead of asking someone else to do it for them. Then they would not still have to read it off the computer screen. makes so much more idiot sense to have the manual in front of you are you are looking at the lights.

you may want to check on the radiator fan. The AC has its own fan and once AC is on, the fan would help bring down the temperature. It is either the fan is not blowing or has become weak. You can check on the fan by pulling out the temp sensor on the lower radiator hose. The fan should blow at full speed when doing this.

Check on the water reserve the water inside it goes down, if not there may be a leak somewhere. Water vapor may be escaping and lessening the effectiveness of the cooling system. This may be a reason why the engine cools down after the AC fan is on.

It can also relate to faulty bearings of the IDLER on the tensioner pulley and if you can pour some water into the gaps while the engine runs and if the noise stops , this can be a reason too.If not as mentioned you can use the right tool to hold the tension and tighten clockwise.

My first guess would be the axle shaft has popped out of one side of the transaxle. They can be tough to get in far enough for the lock ring to hold.

As most later models like the mid eighty's their is no manual adjustment the clutch assembly is usually worn outJohnny
