I just purchased my saturn and these three gauges are not working.
My speedometer is working. Thankfully I don't drive much and at
first I couldn't put gas in the tank but that part was fixed by my
mechanic.
Thanks for any help.
Diane
try the little computer board thingy located under where you gear shifter. It might be fried...that's what happened to me.

I want to know how to change my inline fuel filter on my 1994 Saturn SL2
Remove gas cap and relieve fuel system pressure from fuel rail pressure relieve valve. Then you will want a drain pan of course. Before you can remove the fuel line, you will have to buy the cheap plastic quick-connect fuel line removal tool that fits your car. Or buy a universal pack for like $5. Then you press the plastic tool inside the fitting and pull on the other side and it disconnects instantly. then grab the new filter and the lines will just click right back in.

Hey I am in Iraq and will only be home for a short period of time, so I dont want the repair of my daughters 1994 Saturn to take too long. Her automatic seat belts just stopped working, the drivers side is stuck in the forward position and the passenger in the rear position. My first thought is to check fuses, after that where do I go? Is there a seat belt control module hidden someplace and if so where and is it available, I will only be home for 2 weeks. Just preping the ground so I can hit it running.
It looks like there is a 20A fuse labeled "rest" that powers and control module.
There seems to be a common problem with the passive restrain module located under the center console that gets damaged if someone spills water or soda on the consel.
Here is a thread about the module:

my driver side auto seatbelt is stuck in the rear position but the passenger one works fine how can i fix the driver side
You may have to replace the seatbelt positioner.
Check with Saturn (or their replacement GM division) to find if the warranty is extended for seatbelts (some manufacturers cover seatbelts forever) 800-553-6000

how do i replace the car battery on a saturn sl1 1993
Hi,
The battery is under the hood and for a full breakdown on the procedure please view this FixYa Tip.
The Saturn battery is held in with a tie down and you will need a 3/8 socket to release it from the car once you have followed the procedure as outlined.
Thanks for using FixYa.

i have a 1994 saturn sl1. the car starts fine and used to run for a while but would eventually stahl. now it starts up but will not even keep an idle and just dies immediately after it turns over. ive replaced the crank position sensor, spark plugs, alternator, and have cleaned out the air filter many times. none of these have helped the actual problem. ive been told it could be one of the following that might need changed or cleaned: idle air control valve, egr valve, or my fuel filter. any help would be great help. thank you.
Sounds like you are pretty knowledgeable with the maintenance. With that said do you know if the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor (ECTS) has been replaced? I'd put that at the TOP of the list of parts to replace next. If it hasn't been replaced it is the cause of a lot of problems.
The factory one is plastic and cracks. When it cracks it sends the PCM a signal that the engine is -40F below zero. The PCM will compensate by dumping A LOT of fuel into the engine to try and warm it up. It will cause all kinds of starting and idling problems.
Autozone or the dealer sells the better brass tipped one. The ECTS is located just under and behind the upper radiator hose. You'll need to remove the air intake tubing to see it or get to it. It has two wires going to it and goes into a connector. Squeeze the connector at the "ears" and it will come off. A 10MM DEEP well socket will take it out. Swap it quickly because some coolant will come out (a couple of ounces). Hand tighten it and snug it with the socket (not too much because it will strip out). Connector back on (either direction it's non polar). Put the intake back on and enjoy better starting and idling.

I have a 94 saturn sl straight shift, the shifter dont catch gear it just moves around freely. what could be the problem?
If the shifter cable has broken (specifically the plastic loop) you can replace it with a new one from Ebay. Just look up "Saturn Bushing Man" and select the Shifter Cable Eyelet loop. It is a part that is $25 plus shipping. It is an easy fix. The other possibility is that the shifter bushing has broken. "Saturn Bushing Man" on ebay also sells a Delron Plastic Replacement or a Stainless Steel Shifter bushing replacement. Either of these will work as well and are only a $29 part. I have owned Saturns since 1997 and I had both of these parts go out on my 94 Saturn SL2.

Where is the starter relay switch?
There is no starter relay for your vehicle. It basically goes right from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid which is mounted on the starter. There is a neutral/park safety switch which I gave you a picture below and there is a 30 amp fuse located in the fuse panel under the hood. I do not have a diagram of the fuse layout but if you look at the cover of that box it should have a listing of fuses. The name of the fuse that deals with the starting system will be marked "IGN 3". This is the fuse that supplies power to the starter through the ignition switch. It will be green in color. I hope this helps and good luck.
