Can,t find the location of the cabin air filter on a 1991 Range Rover. Have searched book & vehicle.

I'm pretty sure that vintage does not have a cabin filter. If it did and the filter was plugged there would be no air flow from the defrost. Most likely there is a mode door issue. I would bet the mode door is controlled by vacuum which is supplied by the engine. The default position for the mode door is the defrost position when there is no vacuum present. This is a safety feature to ensure the windshield stays clear if there is a problem with the system. Find the vacuum leak and you should have your problem solved. The service engine light is on and when I get up to 65-75 the vehicle jerks a bit

Hi Ericyou must get the codes read go to a garage they usually wont charge for it, It can be 02 sensors you may have 2 or more , your computer is detecting something wrong and if it does **** at that speed sounds like 02 not sending proper info to computer start there then work back , gas filter , fuel pump presure, air filter, plugs, fuel injectors , bad gasoline water contamination, engine over heating, thermostat stuck, all the best take it and get your engine light codes first read the code will help you garge or you take those codes to dealer and ask them there is a manual for codes trouble shooting, cheapest thing you can do right nowJoe

The abs light is permanently on

the red brake light tells you you are low on fluid or that your parking brake is engaged....the abs light tells you your anti lock braking system is malfunctioning. get the car up to 40mph and SLAM on the brake pedal. the pedal should pulsate and the wheels should as well. if the wheels lock up and you slide to a stop, your antilockbrake system is malfunctioning and you should have a certified mechanic check it out......tires plus and midas both do free brake inspections.......

The abs light is on in my car and the brakes are

The light can be on for many reasons. Brake fluid level. Wheel spin sensor. Worn brake pads (if they have a sensor) Bad pressure sensor When you say terrible what do you mean? Shaking? Squeaking? Sqealing? (metal to metal grinding) The brakes continually pulsate?

As far as shorting out, has your car gone in very high water? If you pull the fuse for the ABS does it stop being terrible? (brakes should work fine without fuse)

No matter the car all hydraulic brakes work the same. The braking system can work without ABS, provided the ABS isn't the problem.

When I hear "shorting out" this means to me something is wrong but the person doesn't know what it is. Actual shorting is rare.

Land Rover Range Rover P38. Changed my fuel filter on P38 Range Rover and the battery went flat and will not start. Reset BECM Range Rover P38.

no year car told and worst no engine told and is an engine question. 1994 to 2001 made. 3 engines 1 is diesel,2.5 BMW any car that will not start ! the driver cranks the battery dead. so sure it can NOT start THE ENGINE now. the shop manual says in this case keep the battery charged to diagnose all fail failures, EFI,engines or all electrics resetting the BCM does not fix this. yes pulling battery neg lug for 15min and back on resets computers. there are 6 to 10 causes of a dead starter motor, and battery dead or loose rusty lugs tops the list, ever jumper cable , jump start a battery? call the AAA AUTO CLUB AND SAY JUMP ME rovor? NOW IF THE BATTERY WAS CHARGED AND WE CRANK IN PARK WE FAIL WE CRANK ALL CARS IN NEUTRAL , SEE IT DOES CRANK? HEAR THIS , THIS CRANKS BUT WILL NOT START https://freesound.org/people/drdeath666/sounds/687447/ WE CAN NOT HEAR YOU CRANK YOUR CAR, DEAF AND BLIND IN THIS TEXT BOX.(ME) IF IT DOES CRANK FAST, THAT IS A NO START ONLY ! WE SAY CRANKS FAST BUT WILL NOT START. (BATTERY GOOD) AND HAS UP TO 50 CAUSES AND 20 TESTS AND TOOLS TO FIND IT. (CHECK ALL FUSES. AND SCAN THE OBD2 SCAN PORT IS FIRST. THE CAR NEEDS SERVICE FOR SURE. the only tool less tests are fuses and cranking in neutral. just 1 eye and 1 hand does it. ok one more engine oil all leaked out. engine seized.grin! dip stick dry, via Mark one eyeball check/.

U can't find the starter relay 2006 range Rover supercharge does anyone have a pic

open glove box pull guide (users) see fuse page for relay names. try cranking in N PRNDL ,no just P ? that is first but if starter is silent the relay is not. so if relay too is silent it is bad park/neutral switch is dead. scan the PCM with a scan tool,OBD2. see why it fails easy. park lock out must work first. battery charged. key on, step on brake pedal shift from pARK tro neutral and crank the engine. if Park switch was bad, Neutral is not.(joy)

Water pump on 2008 range rover HSE.

A stuck thermostat is the likely cause of that. If you remove the radiator cap and start the engine you should see water movement.
