Check your belts, air filter, coolant level, thermostat operation first. If all looks good, then have your cooling system flushed. It could be many things but this is the best place to start.

Your battery probably isn't holding enough of a charge. I bet if you get a new battery your problem will go away. Alternatively, it could be that your starter is going bad and you need the extra power to get it going, but my guess is the battery.

As I remember, you had to press and hold. Also, try turning your vehicle off, wait and turn it back on as it should reset. No worries.
I remember it got stuck in first gear (automatic) and wouldn't change gears so I pulled over, turned off the ignition, waited a minute, turned it on and it was reset. All is fine with the Porsche.

There are two relays in the fuse panel under the front of the passenger footwell mat...board...also there are fuses for the headlamp motors there as well....there should also be a key indicating which fuse is which. And which relay is responsible for headlamp motor operation...I think it is the large on all the way to the right....wiggle while you have the headlamps turned to ON position...see if they pop up.....let me know how it goes...The headlamp relay is problematic on that model.

It definitely sounds like the motor. You need to disasemble the seat to get to the mounting bolts to remove the seat and get to the motor. Might be easier to just fix the handle and move the seat manually.
