The first thing you should do is check the basics. When was it last given a full service? Make sure the air filter is clean. Is the fuel getting to all the cylinders? Are all the cylinders getting a spark? (I'm assuming it is a gasoline motor). If there are any warning lights on the dashboard GET THEM CHECKED BY A GOOD MECHANIC!

The best way is to take the tank out completely to clean , as you have to make sure that it is 100% clean so that the problem is solved completely. If not cleaned properly it will make you a lot of problems

Remove as much fuel from tank using a syphon or plastic pump. Remove tank from car, Tip it upside down to drain remaining fuel. DO NOT WELD the tank if it is leaking or the remaining fuel fumes will explode.

Looks like the carb's need Tuning / Balance, but first start with compression test, plugs and leads 1986 prob still on points? check condenser, then do the carb's

most likely it may be a bad valve or maybe the module ..could be dirty transmission fluid..

run fault codes and look for cam/crank position sensors fault.

take Q tip and clean the tip of the injector with alcohale

You should have a fuse box that pivots down from under the dash. There are two or three harness plugs in the back.
