PROCEDURE TO BLEED BRAKES ON

Hi,
Please follow the below: Front Brakes. 1. Ensure vehicle is on level surface. 2. Relieve antilock brake system, by pumping brake about 20 times until it becomes difficult to press. 3.Be sure fluid level is 2mm below filler neck. 4. Bleed R/H caliper first. Do the same to the L/H caliper.
Do the same as front brakes for the rear brake but only up to number 3 then do the following. 1. Release one bleeding nipple on the rear. 2. Depress brake pedal and hold. 3. Turn key to on position then wait 15 - 20 seconds for air to bleed out of brake system. 4. Retighten bleed nipple, and release pedal slowly.
Switch ignition of and then bleed the remaining rear caliper as the same procedure as the previous caliper.
If you need more information, let me know.
Thanks
Jason

How do you remove the

Remove the interior trunk liners, the tank is located behind the back particle board, behind where your spare is mounted and battery. Take all of that out. There are two black tank straps that hold the tank in position. Remove bolts to lossen. Take care around where the filler neck attaches to the body (left rear next to trunk). You will have to disconnect serveral harnesses also to "work" it back and forth and ultimately slide it out. As a former master jaguar tech, I will say this; if you are not trained, I suggest you let a professional do this job for you. Gas tanks are no joke.

Whatever you decide, good luck.

Note if you remove the fuel tank sending units, be sure to use a brass punch while loosing the rings. If you don't, the tank can explode or at least catch fire.

THAT WOULD BE THE "PURGE CONTROL VALVE CIRCUIT". IT HAS TO DO WITH EMISSIONS. THE PURGE CONTROL VALVE ALLOWS VAPORS FROM THE FUEL TANK TO BE BURNED, BUT IN THIS CASE IT HAS MALFUNCTIONED. HOPE THIS HELPS. KEEP ME INFORMED. THANKS FOR USING FIX-YA AND THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR AN HONEST RATING. BEST OF LUCK.

Failure code 69

How long has it been since your vehicle has been serviced or has had a complete engine tune up? A spark plug or plug wire being fouled could cause poor engine performance without your vehicle smoking. Also a degraded quality of fuel generally one that has moisture (water) in it could cause the vehicle to operate poorly and I would suggest using something like heet fuel additive and a good fuel system treatment about every 2 to 3k miles or with every oil change to help your vehicles fuel system and engine to stay clean and function efficiently. I would try these simple steps first before going further. Hope this helps

Electric windows

The driver side has a lock out button on the master switch on the driver door.
On mine, I had to remove the master switch, about 2 hours, cleaned the contacts and it worked all windows easily. A lot of work but the replacement switches are very expensive..The other possibility is simply corroded connections as a lot of water gets into the doors......almost the same solution but each door needs to have the door panel taken off.....

Adjust headlamps on 2008 Jag Vanden Plas

  1. Park your car on a level surface, facing a flat wall or garage door. Make sure the car is at a normal operating temperature and that the headlights are turned on.
  2. Open the hood and locate the headlamp adjustment screws. These are usually located at the back of the headlamp assembly, near the firewall. There should be one screw that adjusts the vertical aim and another that adjusts the horizontal aim.
  3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to adjust the screws. Turning the vertical screw clockwise will lower the beam, while turning it counterclockwise will raise the beam. Turning the horizontal screw clockwise will move the beam to the right, while turning it counterclockwise will move the beam to the left.
  4. Adjust the headlamps one at a time. Cover one of the headlamps with a thick cloth or cardboard to prevent any stray light from affecting your vision while you adjust the other headlamp.
  5. Aim the headlamps so that the center of the beam is at the same height as the center of the headlamp lens. The horizontal aim should be straight ahead, with no visible lean to either side.
  6. Test the headlamps on a dark road to make sure they are properly aimed. If you notice any unevenness or misalignment, make further adjustments as necessary.
  7. Close the hood and enjoy your properly adjusted headlamps.
It's important to note that if you're not comfortable working with car electronics, or if you're unsure about any of the steps involved in adjusting your headlamps, it's best to consult a professional mechanic or authorized Jaguar dealership for assistance.

1996 Jaguar xj6 sunroof will not close you can hear motor running, how can you manual close it?

If you remove any gear that is coupling it to the motor you should be able to slide it back to where you want. I would put gear back just to hold it in place and keep it from moving. But you do have to replace that gearbox for future operation.
