2003 hyundai elantra vacuum leak

Hi there:One of the best ways to find a vacuum leak is to start the engine, and spray WD40 all around on the intake manifold, and the vacuum lines. If you hit a vacuum leak then the engine will speed up for a few seconds. It will normally be a bad hose, or a hose that has come off.On the air blowing out of the dash there is a very small vacuum line that comes out of the dash and attaches to the engine. If this line is off or otherwise no vacuum to it the air will do just what you described. You should track this hose down and see if it is hooked up properly. Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.Thank you for using FixYa, have a nice day.
