My SERVICE ENGINE SOON light came onAGAIN!
Disconnecting the battery should reset it but I would bet that the light will come back on. I would have a auto parts store read the error code for you. They can also reset it. There are two o2 sensors on this car one on the manifold and one down stream from the converter. If you are getting an o2 error code it could also be the converter.
Car died when stoped @ stop sign and now turns over but dont get init FIRE TO START
knowing GMs in those years, i'd check the CRANKshaft position sensor and the damper pulley/sensor wheel assembly way before the cam shaft sensors, as they had some probs with that for a while (late 80s and up usually), and second i'd check the IAC (idle air control) located on the throttle body. It looks like an electric motor and only has 2 torx screws holding it there. It controls the amount of air that goes into the engine at idle, and more or less closes up when you press the gas, and they were known to get dirty and jammed real fast on GMs, cause all kinds of great problems. Like on my 1990 Chevy Cavalier, when it jammed it either sputtered and died immediatly, or started to rev up to around 3k-3.5k RPM, often both sputtering and revving like crazy, and being automatic i had to hold the gas and brake on stop signs and red light to keep it stable and keep it from moving.
Car "chugs" when accelerating
If you don't have any service engine lights on, it probably is fuel related. You can do a fuel presure test to see what shape your pump is in, should be around 46-96 psi. Change filter...check injectors by unsnapping the connectors and taking an ohms meter and looking for .12 ohms at each injecter. You also, can test the injector to see if it is working by using a stethescope and listen to each injector for a clicking noise if ones sounds different...that would be a good place to do the ohms check...if either test fails, that could be where your problem lies.
Wipers ,washer, radio, and gas guage stopped working on 2005 Ford Taurus
Have you checked fuses? Check under the hood, drivers side. Black box has a lid that pops off and is filled with little colored fuses. The lid of the box has a diagram that shows which ones control each function you mentioned. A box of fuses with a variety of amperages will cost you $10 - 20. A tester is the best way to make sure the fuse is the problem, and any good auto parts store will help you test yours. Normally, I'd switch one fuse with another to see if that resolves it, but you have so many that may be bad, it's a good idea to have the entire system looked at and see how so many got blown at once.
Horn wiring relay
Have a helper push the horn button, while you see if there is power at the wire that is plugged into the horn. Have you checked the fuse first??
