Check trunk lid warning
Hi there,
Most likely that the trunk switch has either moved (needs adjusting/tightening) or is faulty.
Have someone test the swicth terminals for continuity. Replace if faulty.
Cheers,
My top on my 1997
Here the fix the saab convertable has the famous failed ground wire of the convertable top, the line the ground in the converatable itself and yes it fails, here is what you do behind the driver side is the convertable module you must identify the ground (I think it brown but very not sure), ground the convertable control ground wire and you will be functioning in no time dont bother to repair the ground in the top just the control top module and attach it to a good ground where it is mounted
Hi, the ignition key wont return to on position
well you dont replace the spring you just replace the entire ignition lock cylinder they range from
25.00 bucks to 250.00 bucks depending on the vehicle and some are pretty easy to change and some you just better off taking it to the shope.
all that being said i have changed them on sabbs before with only a fairly mild headache so not to bad
if it helps could you please leave 4 thumbs up thanks
1997 Saab Convertible top is broken, and the rain is coming in!
the rear of the top under the back window is drawn down into place and latched by its own motor that simply pulls or pushes two rods. If the motor stopped moving for whatever reason, simply fold down the back seat, reach your arm through the little access at the top of the boot on the drivers side and pop the rods out of place and latch/unlatch manually. this takes a flashlight and some inspection time to do at first if you dont know what your feeling for.
i have the same problem with my 98 900s
I was rolling down a window when all of a sudden
Is the car a convertible? If so the window controls operate through the convertible top computer.
By ignition switch module are you talking about the part under the lock cylinder? They do fail a lot.
What do you mean by the relays are intact? Have you checked for power at each fuse with the key on?
