It sound like an alternator problem , low voltage.

It is possible for the climate control door to be inoperable or stuck leaving the heater core exposed, but are you getting air thru the vents that you select? is the compressor running on and off very frequently or not at all?

mcdevito75, If this did happen you could loose the entire engine, thisis a shop only repair.

i'm not sure but if you find out could you let me know? my 92 9000 2.3L is doing the same thing, someone told me it could be the cold air sensor

If you do not have the remote control for the alarm (which can sometimes be purchased on ebay) You will have to uninstall the alarm.
The alarm is wired between the ignition coil wire coming from the ignition switch if the car is turning over and just wont start.
This can be complicated because of the amount of wiring, You have to cut the alarm wires out 1 at a time and match the cars wires back together.
I just did this for someone on a toyota recently and you really have to pay attention or put a peice of tape on each wire writing the color for example(white wire with rd stripe or white wire with red stripe ect.)

try new fan thermostat switch

yes , unplug the battery and reconnect after a few seconds this set car in shipping mode and alarm off until rearmed by turning key 3 times

you have a short somwhere try unplugging fuses and see if the power stops leaking to run down the short

Make sure all your injector connectors are clean and not corroded. make sure you have the correct resistor sparkplugs. And if both of those things are okay you probably have a bad direct ignition cassette.

is it timing chain or timing belt ,not sure on this model.have pipes come off the intake on the turbo?? if its a chain i cant see it jumping but if it right then the valves will be bent thats for sure.1994 ,-,-,- its old now and not really worth more than a 1000€ and could cost more to repair than value of car .
