I have a 1994 SAAB
Hi,
1. Turn on the car, turn on the radio it should say "Code In" (If it does not say code in hold down "band" until it does)
2. Do NOTHING ! do not enter any code, do NOT shut off the radio
3. Shut off the car
4. return at least 1 hr later and start the car, put in your code and it will work.
This is part of the lock out feature, but this is the part where you leave the radio on for 1 hour with the car off.
If you might have entered a wrong code, wait for 1 hour before trying the above solution.
Make sure that Do not exceed wrong codes unless it would permanently lock the feature.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!
Note - I am taking into consideration that you have the correct code.
My saab 1994 900 s has no power to fuel pump
Fuel pump runs or not ? If runs and no presure at out put line than either the pump is toast or the filter (before the pump) is plugged or plane Jane no fuel or a pin hole in the suction line (draws air instead of fuel), if the fuel pump does not run, than check the fuse and the connector at the pump to ensure power goes to the pump.
Radio code on a 95 saaab 900 converable
It sounds like the fuse on the back of the radio is blown. You can pull the unit by inserting 4 straight rods (I use 4" long pieces of coat hangers) in the 4 holes around the outside of the unit, then gently pulling the unit out. There is a 10A fuse on the back of the unit that occasionally blows. Once that is replaced, it should demand the code.
Will a 9.3 2.0L engine interchange with a 2.3L?
If you are ready to do some extensive harness swapping and have a good factory wiring diagram to work from, I see a lot of headaches coming your way. Used to be that you could put just about anything into anything. Now, it turns into a wiring nightmare. If you want to make this a project car and don't have a time limit, go for it. If you need it as a daily driver, then It may be more than you want to invest as far as time and headaches are involved. Been there, done that and won't ever again!!! And was in the business since '67!!!
I have a 1996 Saab 900 S. The ignition switch is
I have the same problem and my excellent Saab car mechanic told me to pull the switch and bring it to him so we can get the exact part number. That may be your problem. My problem is getting the part out of my car (has manual transmission).
In snd out of it
Check your battery cables and terminals. If they are ok, check your altenator because it might not be charging the battery properly.
Radio code
Try to look in the packet that came with the car - it's usually in the glovebox - there should be a plastic card with the vehicles id number and the code you'd enter for the radio. I don't know if there's another way to reset that other than disconnecting & reconnecting the battery.
Code 3231, 0100, 1123, 3179, 3343, I do not know if it will works for your radio, try it..maybe it might work for you.
Where do you find the radio code 1994 saab 900
Upon disconnecting the battery the radio will flash code until you enter the code. If you enter the code incorrectly you must either hold the band button down until the word code reappears or leave the key on for one hour until the word code reappears. This procedure depends on the year of the car. If you do not have the radio code and would like to get it you must call your local Saab dealer with the serial number off the top of the radio. Many times radio owners will write the radio code on top of the radio once you have the correct code. Typically the radio code is in the owners pouch and is a small card with the numbers on it.
NOTE: If this helps you, please, please give me a good rating!!
