Can i unplug the anti theft system in my 1992 saab and my car still start and run?

No you can't. You can bypass a key or module, But the ECM still needs a signal to start and run the car.

Does a 12 volt radio/amp use more voltage at higher volume levels

I believe so. You need to draw more power to increase to bass. side note. My system: Battery runs at 13.2 volts. When my Bass hits hard, the amp will cut into protection mode because it's getting less than 11.5 volts from the battery. I reset and it works again and the battery will be back up to 13.2 volts.

I have a 1992 Saab 900 Turbo. It has the Tape

Many of those radios had a secret code which could only be had thru the dealership. So- you had to take it to the dealer who pulled the radio and got one number then that would get you the secret code which you then wrote on the housing of the radio so you don't have to go thru this. Good luck with that.I just love classic foreign cars.

Or you could have a blown fuse. Under the hood drivers side.

Car battery goes dead after car sits for more the

As a simple preliminary test, try disconnecting the battery before you let the car stand for a while and see if it will start when reconnected. (If this will not affect radio codes and alarm systems). This will give you an idea if it is the battery or something in the car that is draining the battery.

I have a 1992 saab 900S 2.1 non-turbo engine, The

The issue with starting systems is that there are many things that may be wrong with it. It certainly sounds like an electrical problem. I'm going to give you a way to check to see if it is actually the starter itself that may be bad. if you can physically reach the starter(on some you may not be able to) LIGHTLY tap on it with a hammer and then try to start it. DO NOT hit it very hard because this may cause the starter to become inoperable if it isn't already. if you turn the key and the batter just gets drained dead then I would sound to be a starter issue as well. These electrical issues are looked at by trained professionals in legal service shops.

As a licensed and certified mechanic I would highly recommend you have it tested before you start throwing parts at it because that may be VERY costly.and time consuming. when properly diagnosed you can save time, money, and a massive headache.

Hope this helps you out!

Altenator or regulator not sure which , is not

First, measure the voltage between the two battery posts with the engine not running. It should be near 12.6 volts. If it is around 10.5 to 11.0 volts, suspect a shorted cell in the battery. If it is around 11.5 to 12.0 volts, charge the battery at a slow rate for about half an hour. Next, measure the battery voltage again while the engine is running. It must be between 13.75 and 14.75 volts. If it is still around 12.0 volts, the alternator is not working. if it still has a problem check the wires from the alternator to the battery for green corrosion and loss connections.

Clutch is not engaging. Where do you check to

If a clutch is not engaging, you do not have a fluid problem. The clutch mechanism is only used to DISENGAGE the clutch.
If the clutch does not engage, you probably have a worn or damaged clutch plate. If that's the case, either the engine or transmission must be removed so that the clutch can be replaced.

Here are a couple of things to try. Remove the bulb and clean the bulb socket with the eraser on the end of a common pencil. Also clean the bulb.

Change the fuse even if it looks good as they sometimes trick you.

Trace the ground wire and disconnect it from the frame. Use emery cloth to clean the spot where the ground meets the frame. Clean the end of the wire and then reconnect it all. J.
