First check the fuse - your driver's manual will tell you which one. Most likely, a blown fuse is the cause of the problem
2009 Landrover will start lights work will not start
Have you checked the battery voltage with a meter? If it around 12.5 or more that is not the problem. The next thing to check is the small wire that pushes onto the starter solenoid. It can come off easily and the starter will not crank. Just reach down and push it back onto the small male terminal. If this works, it would be a good idea to squeeze the terminal tight with a pair of pliers to prevent it happening again.
How to change brake light bulbs
You don't say where the brake lights are? I know this seems a stupid answer but the Disco has had them in various places in various years. If they are in the bumper then access them by removing the lens.
If they are in the lamps on the body side then access them through the trim panel in the side of the load bay. Good luck with that because you will need small hands and considerable patience. Remove the appropriate bulb holder with a twist and pull. A more stupid design you will struggle to find!!
Get a cup of coffee and don't expect to do it in 5 mins unless you are a past master of the Disco.
