1998 porsche boxster windshield wipers not working when car is running but will work when ignition is on but car not running?

Your Porsche's electrical system should be completely checked and tested every two years or whenever serviced for any type of driveability problem. Many problems associated with day-to-day driveability are caused by voltage variations and must be the first step in troubleshooting any problem. This is due to the use of computerized controls in most cars these days and even quite minor voltage changes can alter the controls.

Flat battery. Recharging but why is fuse board making lot of clicking noises and sounding alarm as battery charges?

1st disconnect the battery from the circuit board and charge the battery separately. Then reconnect the battery and see if it resets itself normally.

When my 1998 Porsche Boxster 2.5L is warm it is a hard start...Sounds like it might be flooding? Any help would be kind.

If it floods, then open the throttle body all the way. this gives more air and should start. If it is slow to start, the starter turning slower, then replace the starter. It is dragging. It is a common problem on older starters.

1998 boxster top switch does not respond dash light indicates micro switch is functioning, latch micro switch is functioning but top is not response when the top up or down switch in engaged, top work

There are 3 microswitches on the Boxster, one in the hand brake that triggers the "Park" light on the dash, a second switch in the top latch, that drops the windows a few inches when open and allows the windows to roll all the way up when latched. There is a third switch under the clam shell that indicates the top is fully open or fully closed . There is also a speed sensor in the top controller in the fuse box that prevents the top from opening if the speedo shows greater than zero mph. If pulling the parking brake triggers the dash light and the top still won't operate, the latch switch is likely the culprit. I recently replaced mine on my '99.
