CRACK IN THE INTAKE
Depending on where the crack is, would change my best answer. The Salvage yards are full of available parts for this engine. Lincoln changed to a composite manifold from metal to save weight and prevent soot buildup.Unlike old models of engines, most of the Fomoco engines get water directly into the heads or block and not the intake manifold. So you are talking about airflow and vacuum leaks. If the crack is not on a mounting flange and is accessible, there are many high quality chemical glues which can do the job. Take sandpaper and scour the surface before applying the glue. There are even metal glues.Salvage parts can be found at Carparts.com or your local salvage yard. Please rate my info.
2000 Lincoln Town Car Rear air suspension bottoms out
You said that you replaced the solenoids. Does this include the Master dump solenoid in the front of the car?You should also be aware of the triggers for the system. The dump solenoid works when all of the car doors are shut, and the trunk is closed. Hitting the "Lock" function on the FOB may activate the lowering sequence. The system is designed to keep the car at a certain ride height and allow for the car to knell (lower) to permit easier entering and exiting for the occupants and loading and unloading of the trunk. In the case where you pumped up the system, there is a leveling feature which reviews how the vehicle is setting in regard to its ideal leveled position. I can not say if it is timed at 12hour, 24hour or any other interval. Some other Expert may know about this. But the sytem is designed to prevent jacking one end of the car for any length of time. There is a Diagnostic plug for the Air-ride. It takes a Scanner having the extra programming capable of reading the system. While you can do limited work on the system using a Voltmeter or Ohmmeter, you need the Scanner to report the Code. The Code report is a record of incidents. It can be used to reveal problems which caused the suspension to adjust. You can also use soapy water to spray the air lines and bags to detect leaks. You may be able to get some free help at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys IF the store has a Scanner capable of reading the Air-ride module. Otherwise Dealers can do this, or possibly Frame and Body shops. Please rate my info.

I can't locate the air supension compressor on a linclon town car 1998
It is located under the air cleaner/Filter on the driver's side, under the hood, near the front. Remove the filter and the filter plastic case. I has two or three screws. I believe they are 1/2". You have to look closely to find the one near the front and will have to have an extension rod for a 3/8' drive. When you remove the case you will see it. It has one or two plastic vacuum lines running to it. The lines are quick disconnect and have to be pushed in and the flange around the line will have to be held in and then pull the line out. Hope this helps. CMSgt Smith
Oil filter gasket
Your oil filter comes with a rubberized o-ring. When you take off the old oil filter, make sure you get the old oring with it. If you don't you'll have problems with the new one. Apply a light coat of clean oil to the new filters o-ting before installing. This helps the filter bond to the motor. turn the old filter counter clockwise to remove it. When installing new filter, fill filter with oil prior to installation. Turn clockwise to tighten. Tighten till snug, then give it an extra quarter turn for tightness. Again, make sure you remove the old o-ring from the motor if it does not come out with the old oil filter. No need to take new oring off new oil filter. Just fill, lubricate seal and install.
