Hi!!
Your best bet is getting a replacement from your local Junk Yard, this way you won't have to make any adjustments to the wiring since the plugs will be the same.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa!!
Front brakes lock up
Hi and welcome to FixYa!
I strongly suggest that the front brakes be overhauled. If the oil seal of the brake piston is worn out the brakes tends to lock. The brake piston should be replaced to obtain optimum performance and to prevent accidents.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!
I have 1990 lsc and
If nothings is staying on and the batt still goes dead just sitting. pull the abs fuse, these sys are a problem. the abs pumps stay on and kill the batt. you should here a vib by the master cyc. and you might have a abs light on. remember when you pull the fuse the abs sys will not be working , you will have brakes just not abs. one part to fix it costs around 200.00 dollars the other part is around 1200.00. hope this helps
Air suspension front left side low
Most likely the airbags have a leak in the bags themselves or the air lines they have conversion kits that switch to coil springs for about $250 bucks at Strutmaster.com. Or go to a junk yard and get some used bags and lines for about $50 bucks your choice. Good Luck
Just got a 2001 Lincon
Congratulations on getting it to run like a champ.
The ABS light is likely due to a bad wheel speed sensor, which would be consistent with the speedometer coming and going.
Try to get an Actron Brakescan Tool for about $99 or so plus shipping, and you can scan the codes and get English explanations of which circuit is bad.
I purchased one to diagnose and repair a 1997 Cadillac Deville. The Actron Brakescan tool covers most American vehicles from 1996 to 2005. So, this diagnosis should be right up the alley of this tool.
One can go from there as far as checking out the sensors and the wiring more closely.
Have had 1989 Lincoln Mark 7 LSC for 5 years she
Generally a relay is used instead of a fusses. Look under hood for a relay panel.. substitution is the easiest way to find failed relay.
I had similar symptom on my Towncar....found that adjacent relays were same part number. Pulled the horn relay....substituted it for the fuel relay...then replace with a new one.. Did not leave the defective one in place of horn relay. There may be other circuits on the same relay. Be careful !
I have a 1990 mark
do you have air bags or self levalinng this could be your problem an air leak that cause your air pump to constinly run
This beautifully kept 1990 Mark
HI, there isn't a fuse that can cause your 3rd gear failure and since driving it like this will only cause more damage to the transmission, and the Airbag light is telling you the system is not working. I strongly recommend you take to your service center. Glad your ABS did its job.
Battery keeps dying
Battery is not strong enough, amps for stereos are bad to drain the battery.
Mk7 power windows
The motors have three little rubber discs in the head of the motors. The are common for going bad. You can buy the little discs, they are cheap but you have to remove the window motor from the door to change them.
