You have so many electrical issues, you really need a good auto-electrician. Not sure why you replaced an alternator to fix an Odometer. Alternators can be easily checked with a multimeter. There are lots of videos on it. Your most likely cause is one or more fuses blown. When that happens, voltage can be directed to places it shouldn't go. The first thing I would do is pull every fuse in the vehicle and test for continuity with a meter. It is is parasitic draw, you need an ammeter and you pull easy fuse, noticing if the draw stops or not. That narrows it down to a particular circuit. There is an ECM, a BCM and many control modules on that vehicle. A scan tool computer diagnosis may help you a lot. You need to dry it out as stated. Water will not help your engine. You may need to flush the fuel lines with fresh gas. Use an additive in the gas to help absorb the remaining moisture.

Try getting the error code by using a plug in diagnostic unit, the code should give you a good starting point, but in any case you should be able to clear the error code with the unit after you make a not of it and maybe with it being intermittent it might not reappear. But heck out what the code is before clearing. the diagnostic units are available quite cheaply on auction sites.

Why do you think you have an air leak in the system? whats the issue? typically if there is a leak its gas coming out not air going in. Are you low on fuel pressure or something? is your fuel pump weak? fuel filter clogging?
