Motor will not turn on battery is ok
Hi Joann , Motor will not turn on ? When you turn the key to start the vehicle ,does the starter spin the engine ? What I'm getting at here , does it crank no start or no crank no start . I know your a rookie an I'm a seasoned automotive professional ,but it's hard to know what's happening if you don't use terminology Me an other Technicians use . Two different type problems !
Air conditioner started blowing hot air
Either AC compressor or AC clutch failure or both highly likely as Kia Sedona has notable history of this
Sure, one might trace the wire that connects to the compressor, and while its challenging to reach without removal of both fans, it does follow upward into the engine wiring harness. At that point its much more convenient to push a needle into the wire and connect a meter to it to see if it is energized when AC selector on, cabin fan on and cabin thermostat set to coldest setting.
If no voltage then check fuses and try swapping idential relays in the engine compartment box to be sure. If voltage present, then assume the worst.
More important is why the failure. I'm convinced a design error by Kia relative to the suction or low pressure hose is the root cause of such frequent AC compressor or AC clutch failures. You can buy a new Kia OEM suction hose, position it for to install and observe immediate kinking and or collapse. Kia has likely long been aware of this problem but never conducted a recall. You can solve it permanently, toss your existing suction hose and buy this one:

If you buy a "Tough One" brand replacement compressor and filter/dryer together from Advance Auto Parts it has a lifetime replacement warranty. No other compressor is sold with a lifetime warant for a Kia Sedona, not even from Kia itself.
What would stop an engine in 2004 kia sedona from starting but it turns?
Could be... it's out of gas, or the fuel pump has failed, or the fuel pressure regulator has failed or you have a poor electrical connection or blown fuse, or your spark plugs are all fouled, or the car's computer has died, or you've lost your timing belt/chain, or the crank position sensor has failed. Check the simplest one first. Is there plenty of good fresh gasoline in it? Next, is your "Check Engine" light on? If so, have someone get the failure code from the computer with an OBDII scan tool. If not, check for spark.next. If good, check fuel pressure and flow rate.
Time belt how maney miles do you change it
Hello,
The timing belt of the car is to be changed after it has run 60000 miles. Try to change it once it is approaching the 60000 miles, if not it might damage the entire engine and it will cost You a lot more to replace the engine than replacing just the timing belt.
If You need the steps to replace the timing belt, You can call back for more assistance. I will be so glad to be of assistance to You once again.
Hope this helped. Thank You for using FixYa!!!
How do remove glow plugs
check current flow to each first.
if zero cuurrent check that they have spec low resistance.
if ok, then the controls are bad or wires ,fuses, etc.
Hazard and turn inter actors central locking fuel relise door
A Chilton's/Haynes repair manual that covers your vehicles year/make/model goes a long way to trouble shooting. Oh I do hate chasing gremlins. Had same problem with Kia Sephia. It's fuse panel has a slot marked "meter." Didn't give it any thought as just what would "meter" have to do with turn signals and hazard lights. (the other issues you list don't apply as this is an older model and quite basic, no power goodies.) Took it to shop (got tired of chasing gremlins). Repair person is the one that told me about "meter" fuse. If you have the owners manual it may have a fuse panel "map." Be aware that there is another fuse panel under the hood that has fuses and relays. As an end note, I'm now trying to figure out why that fuse keeps blowing. Oh bother.
