A piece fell off my 5 speed tranny now wont move
please give us some more information when posting questions.
type of tranny. what does the piece look like? any horrible noises?. what symptoms are there. could you drive on for a while/did it die immediately etc... the more info the better
i am guessing it was the shifter link (the connection between your tranny and the shift lever)

I have a 2004 kia rio 5 speed
there are 2-3 bushings underneath the car that can be changed.....they are about 5-7 dollars each that you can pick up at the dealership and do it yourself...it's not hard at all...drive it on ramps and chock the wheels to make it safe....get underneath and then have someone in the drivers seat to shift the gears(while it's off) so you can see where the moving points are, then just undo the bolts and replace the bushings or you can just remove or loosen the bolts and lubricate them with lots of grease....I would try the grease first, it should do the trick...Kia will charge you about $130 to do it for you...

Steering wheel starts to vibrate at 50mph
it could be a number of things
first thing i would do is get front tyres checked and wheels balanced
hope thats all it is ,other wise it could wheel bearings, trackrod ends ,or worse case steering rack

Kia rio problem
Have some one ( with engine OFF) slowly shift from 1st to Reverse, YOU be out side and watch the linkage and tranny movement. WHAT you may have is loose bracket, tranny, or support bolts. bigAl

Will a bad air flow sensor make my 1999 grand am not start
Hard start, no start, chugging acceleration, synthesized RPM limiter, sputtering idle.
Just to name a few.
MAF sensors can also become dirty. They are essentially just a piece of wire, dangling in your intake tubing. Over years they can become filthy. Auto part stores sell a brand of cleaner called Mass Air Sensor Cleaner, brand name is CRC. It's good stuff. Just take your MAF off the car, and spray the little sensor wire down with it.
If you are able to see the sensor wire, it should be pristinely white. As white as the background of this page. If it is not, clean it. If you need further help, reach me via phone at
