MY 02 KIA SEDONA STARTS UP AND RUNS FINE FOR 20 MINUTES THEN SHUTS OFF THEN AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES STARTS BACK UP THEN SHUTS BACK DOWN AFTER DRIVING FOR LITTLE WHILE AND KEEPS REPEATING THE SAME.WHAT

Sounds like the same problem I have been having with my 2002 Sedona for the past 6 or 8 months. It would run OK for several days, weeks, or months, then just quit. If I let it set for 10 to 20 minutes, itwould restart and run fine for at least the rest of that day. About 2weeks ago, I was fortunate that it happened when someone waswith me, so I was able to determine that it was not getting any spark.Since then the problem has gotten worse and more frequent - it washappening almost every day and would take over 1/2 an hour before itwould start again. This morning was the last straw. I drove for about 4miles and it quit. Took 1 hour and 10 minutes before it would restart.Drove another 2 miles and did it again. This time it took 1 hour 35minutes before restart. After 1 more mile, it quit again. Took 2 hours, this time. Made it another mile and BAM! - did it again. My bro towedme home. I determined that it is most likely NOT the crankshaftposition sensor, because 99% of the time they either work, or theydon't. Very rarely does it cause in intermittant problem. The mostlikely suspect is the engine computer. That was always a likelyculpret when I worked on GM cars. Today I installed a $50 junk yardengine control computer. I am crossing my fingers!I will know on Thursday, as I have a 50 mile trip to make.I will post again on Thursday, to let you all know.

Is it pouble to change the piston ring wihout pulling down the engine

YEs it is possible . You have to remove the head and sump and there will be a ridge at the top of the cylinder that has to be removed before the piston will come out . If the ring is broken then I suspect that the bore will be scored and new rings will be a waste of money as it will require a rebore to fix and that means all pistons have to be replaced

Kia Carnival LS 2000 model.

This is quite a big question as the mechanic who had done such a big job is not able to identify the fault of his work. In the first place what was the reason for the full overhall. ? it is important that the valves are set right with the specified gap and settings. If the engine was removed , then the timing setting is VERY IMPORTANT. If the mechanic was not sure of this I would advice you to seek a good expert help as this forum has a limitation for a fault brought upon than that was natural. Get help to reset, check your timings, check fuel and spark to be correct. then your engien will start. Hope my advice helps. Good day.

Wont start. fuel pump klicks once only. no spark from plug wire

First check the fuses from the battery. The distributor is used to induce the induction coil which in turn sends it to the plug. Hence the contact point of the arm(silver contact point) needs to be replaced.....sodeep

FINDING THE LOCTION OF INPUT SPEED SENSOR ON KIA

The speed sensor is located on the right side facing the driver side. It is on the transmission under the air filter and air line that leads to the intake manifold. It is on the left side of the transmission. It is not on top of the transmission but on the left side of the transmission close to the firewall. It is best to raise the car and locate it from underneath.
