Reading oil dipstick on 2001 Kia sportage

F stands for FULL and L stands for LOW. The notches indicate the safe zone. If you are adding oil, I would take it to the F as the manual suggests.

Front passenger side makes loud

It could be almost anything, but it sounds like you may have lost a front cv joint. Jack the front of the car up and put jack stands under it, and reach in and try wiggling the shaft that comes out of the transmission, one on each side, and goes to the center of each front wheel hub. If you can move one at all other than turning it, it will need to be replaced.

2001 kia sportage, put it in drive and it takes off fine but it takes high RPM'S BEFORE IT HITS ANOTHER GEAR

You either have a transmission or a torque converter problem. Check fluid for a discoloration or burnt smell. Then take it to AutoZone or similar and have them scan in for transmission codes. Then take it to a transmission shop for a complete diagnosed. This will save you money in the long run

No start 2001 kia sportage

Make sure that you have all the wires to the positive cable hooked up. It sounds like you've either had a wire that you've possibly left off, or a ground wire problem. Is there a power distribution box next to the battery? Check it for corrosion and at the banjo clamp at your battery for corrosion as well.

Why are my turn signals, daytime running lights and low beam lights not work?

The diagram is left rear turn. For the turn signal, the top wire is voltage and the bottom black wire is ground. If the other lamps in that assembly work, the ground should be ok. At the moment, I suspect you flasher or a wiring circuit problem. For rear turn signals, red wire with white tracer and red wire with blue tracer are the voltage wires for right and left turn at the rear. If you missing voltage, I'd have to use test light and start testing. left rear turn-ykz1sdp1hrsisoqavsx0xo4z-3-0.jpg

Changed motor cylinder on 2001 kia and now it wont alow me to put gas in, it wont start its absolutely lock down.........it has tekguard alarm system could this couse all of this problems??

Seems as though you are worrying about stuff the repairer should be worrying about. As this happened so soon after collecting it the problem is likely to be connected to the repair. You should contact the repairer and explore the possibility before proceeding further.

Where is the crank sensor pls --2001 Kia Sportage also what voltage should I get from TPS when disconnected with key ON. -- many thanks. Tim.

TPS voltage is Close to 0 volts, normally the minimum, and 5 volts is typically the maximum. As an example, when a car's computer reads 2.5 volts from the TPS, it may mean the throttle is opened by 50% (your foot is pushing the pedal half-way down), and yes has a cam sensor its in between the cams behind the cam cover.

After getting gas car wants to stall

You should be getting a rich mixture code--is the engine light on? Purge valve may be stuck open. Start the car and remove the canister vacuum line from the purge valve. If it draws a vacuum, the valve is stuck open.

2001 kia sportage hard to crank when it does it smell like it's flooded after a bit it may cut off could it be the tempture sensor

When u smell the fuel, that means its not burning via spark plugs. It sounds like u may be losing spark for some reason. If it ONLY happens cold or ONLY the sensor may be involved. Sounds like a spark loss. Good luck
