Replace timing belts crank sensor runs rough at idle an exaust gets cherry red

This could be several things. One is obstructed CAT. The most common cause though is the engine is running so rich it is dumping unburned fuel into the exhaust. This could be a bad injector sticking exhaust valve, constant misfire etc. Don't run it like this or you will end up with a pile of charcoal and steel where your car is supposed to be.

2001 KIA Optima the heater was screwing up you had to mess with it to work. Recently the car shut down going down road. Thought it was fuel issue turned out to be wiring. Blew fuel pump fuse and relay

To answer your question, Google "2001 Nissan Optima wiring diagram" I'm sure it's on the web somewhere. You can also find the info in a repair manual at your favorite Auto Parts Store. Now for a piece of advice. This isn't really an easy or safe issue to fix. It sounds like you are very close to an all out fire with this car. A temp gauge going nuts can be an intermittent short in the sensor lead or an issue with the instrument cluster. I would suggest disconnecting the battery and taking this one to the dealer. It sounds as if you have several issues with this vehicle and without knowing all the issues you are not mentioning, it will be very hard for anyone here to really help you.

How do you adjust the idle speed on a 2004 kia

You don't, the ECU controls it with the AIC. It's attached to the throttle body. There is an adjustment, but that is just a stop to prevent the butterfly from closing to far and sticking, killing the engine. Make sure the connections are tight. You can also make sure it is clean, as sometimes the it's stick because of corrosion.

Shut down while driving down road and wont restart what could be trouble? Tried to restart but now it just turns over

Spark and fuel. First check the spark to your plugs by pulling a boot off and connecting a spark tester that you ground to the engine block. The old mechanics just rig a screwdriver inside the boot and hold it a 1/4" from the ground while someone cranks the engine. If there is no spark CHECK FUSES FIRST . Then look to test ignition components. Crank sensor, cam position sensor, etc. IF THERE IS SPARK - Check the fuel Relay. All of these components can usually be tested free at the local parts stores. Lastly a test of the fuel pump is in order. Try a direct voltage connection to see if it runs. Good Luck!!!!!
