WHAT MEANS FILER (FUEL FILLER CAP)? 33 years old. ever see car run right in the last decade/( or?)_ OR TYPO FUEL FILTER.???????? gas engine? petrol? or what engine is there? 4.0L ? okay i answer for filter hose (conn) pulled well the electric pump only runs key on cranking(or running) you never once told the story why you are here, dead engine? no symptoms told at all, engine dead or stalls or engine weak or misfires. engine dead:???????

1. engine pass compression test over 150PSI? on all/? 33yo !
2. spark good on all cylinders
3. now we test fuel not first. for sure relic cars like this. 300k miles on it?

the spare parts store tells me 2 Fuel Pumps may be Required - 1 Externally Mounted & 1 Mounted In Tank learn this too, pump count. no just in the tank. the external pump if fitted looks like this seen connected to lines easy to see it; if there. check it cranking and 1990 car are hard to diagnose (no OBD2 yet) most do have ECM and does flash codes. on demand. covered in the manual 6 injectors to fail or the ECM does not want to fire them for many reasons, ask./ old old spark distributor bad cap/rotor 'wires sets and plugs .

You won't find one. They don't use one and it is not fitted. To check the level is not needed unless you have a leak. If you do, take it to your Jaguar dealership for service and repair. Like most modern EU vehicles, they are sealed for life.

Try this: Standing outside of the car and using your remote, press and hold both the lock and unlock buttons for at least 4 seconds... release after seeing the parking lights flash. Now, get inside the vehicle start it then see if your problem is fixed. Hope it helps.

Engines do not require washing. Possibly some water has ingressed into somewhere from your washing. Wait for it to dry perhaps.

Possibly fuel pump.

Probably a sticking piston. You do not grease brakes!!!

There is a small bulb or an LED under the cover. Some are replaceable, some are soldered.

On most glove boxes there is a tooth moulded into the actual hinge on the lid panel. This tooth rests against a spring loaded switch behind the glovebox. When you open the lid it opens the switch and turns on the light. You usually have remove the whole glovebox to access the switch.

PO251 is Injection pump metering control problem according to my list of codes Get a leak down test done on the injectors to see if they are ok as generally they are the reason . Also pull the fuel filter and drain it into a clean container and check for swarf in the fuel. The replacement parts. The glow plug light coming on is a related issue.

no sequence, just stage thema all down in 3 strags hand tight first. then stug, make sure it is all fitted up snug. and add torque wrench. say 5 ft/lbs. then 1/2 max then full max. just like all things like this. (head bolts a whole other matter) basic mech, engine 101 facts.

we can't tell you what you can do, lacking skills and tools and spares. I can tell you what a shop does. sure. P0300 means all cylinders of the engine are missing, means (physics) weak combusting on all cycl. bad spark all or bad injections to all (lean) or engine cam out of time? P1 codes are factory only codes. Jag codes P1000 means car is not ready for smog tests, the , onboard readiness is not complete, means drive for a day or 2 and is caused by scan tool DTC reset or battery on car went dead or was disconnected. next P1316 _ Misfire Excess Emission, get the shop to find it. there are a battery of test to do. even low fuel pressure can trip p0300. goes lean ,combustion goes weak and BINGO gross misfire. or bad spare, but how can all fail and not get one cmp or ckp errors>? bad fuel> too. put diesel in the gas? park parked over 1 year or parked less, with 1/8 tank for long long months? we can not guess history of any car.

what in the world is a starting inhibitor? why not post a problem first, an end goal? what is failing or tell a goal . my wild wild guess is , a car alarm that blocks the stater motor ? that is a super old car. and will have vast $$$ problems is this an upgrade question? we sell no car parts here so there is no COST we only do free words in a text box here. 100% free the costs of all things are not the same on earth. so use google + buy to see those prices no goal or problem told. just nebular, starting inhibitor if need and alarm on the car (and blocks cranking) ask a shop in your town for help and or advice. in some towns USA there is a store called Car Toys I like that name but every town as place to install alarms. any major sized town.
