most often times the fuelcut out switch is located in the trunk behind the felt on either fender wall, however sometimes depending on the model it also can be located under the drivers seat.

well you have two choices you can run a new cicruit which means you need a wire to a fuse and then a wire to a switch and then to the horn and then ground and that will be some work. your other choice is much simpler. find where the old horn is and change the connector to fit the new horn. remove the old horn and replace the new horn in the old spot and ground the horn if you need to since some have a one wire and a body ground so you wont need to hook the ground to anything but the bolt if you need to do that.

code 22 is throttle position sensor voltage code 32 is EGR system fault code 34 is MAP circuit voltage out of range low code 45 is oxygen sensor indicates rich exhaust code 48 and 53 are for the transaxle and both point to the PCM

it could be one of 2 things the first one is the CPS that is located behind the starter the other one is an intake gasket but it sounds more likely to be the CPS

unbolt the outer door skin by removing the door handle fist there is a small pin in the bottom of the handle next to the lock when you have that out you will need to remove the t25 bolts that holds the skin to the fram

you need a mechanic... to look at that to get a esstiment

shoot the mouse !!!! ,,,, sorry coldnt resist ,,, you have to lift rear seatbase and boot carpet to get at the seat back bolts ,,, not a big problem ,,, the big one is getting at the seat belt because u have to remove alot of trim to get at the seat belt bolts ,,, alot of clips are involved that will break so source new clips before you start the job ,,,,rotten job so feel so sorry for you ,,,,

The relay should be under the hood in the relay box

The fuse is in the center console, left side of passenger footwell. It is labelled PREST. for passive restraints. Possibly check the restraint module located in the center console, just under the E-brake lever.

Pulling plug wirs is a big mistake unless you know what your doing and you don't sound like you do. It sound like a frost plug is corroded away. You should be able to start your engine even if it had no coolant at al. the coolant only cools the engine ,it does not stop it from running.Now you need a wiring diagram for your engine to see if you have the wires in the right place.......otherwise the engine will not start ever.Worse case ....it could be a head gasket and if that is the case give it to someone whom wants a free car to work on themselves...............Ken

Hi, the clunking sounds like a constant velocity joint (C V joint). It is usually better to replace the whole shaft (half shaft). Yes there are 2.

The check engine light can be checked at any Autozone or similar store. They will put an ODB2 scanner on it for free. Thier diagnostic machine will give them a code similar to code 34 or something like that. This is where they mess up. They don't know what that means. You may need to get the code and do a little searching yourself to get an acurate meaning. DO NOT BELIEVE THE AUTOZONE EMPLOYEE INTERPRETATION ON THE DIAGNOSTIC. Do the search yourself.

Have you tried turning the vss by hand to see if the speedo will read at all? If it doesn't read anything then the problem is 'upstream' ie: wiring or control head etc. If it reads when you spin it by hand, check the drive gear in the transmisson to make sure it has not broken. About your voltage, the VSS will create it's own voltage when you spin it. That's how it works (simply put). No the engine does not have to be running but the key needs to be on.

The VSS is a permanent magnet variable reluctance sensor, which is mounted in the differential housing of the transaxle. It detects the rotation of the differential assembly and, when vehicle speed reaches 3 mph (5 kph), transmits 16 pulses per revolution to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM uses the vehicle speed signal from the VSS to calculate air/fuel delivery and ignition functions. Through a different circuit in the PCM, the VSS is also used to drive the speedometer.

A trouble code will be set if engine speed is above idle, the vehicle is in gear, the MAP sensor output is less than 0.5 volts, and the VSS signal is less than 1 mph (1.6 kph).

1. If the speedometer is faulty, but there is no diagnostic code set, the problem is most likely in the instrument cluster.
   
2. If a code is set, unplug the VSS connector and connect an ohmmeter to the sensor terminals. The sensor resistance should be 700-900 ohms.
   
3. Check the continuity of the wiring between the sensor and the PCM.

Does the car shift funny? I am asking this becaue the VSS sends a signal to the ECU computer for controlling the shift points and lock up. I would normally hook up a scanner to see if the VSS signal is making it to the computer. If it is not shifting funny, it probably is reading ok, and the problem might be in the control head. Is the check eng lamp on? If not and the car is not shifting funny then it points towards the control head.

Also, its possible that you need totest ECU pins...

Is the problem is there, you have one internal wrong in the ECU.

replace the coolant temperature sensor and possibly its connector if it is corroded. google ECTS for your particular model for more information. Failure of this part is quite common. If the thermostat is original it should be replaced as well.

while traveling up hill slower than normal
put it in the highest gear u have and punch the throttle
if the cluch is worn the engine rpm will go up and car speed will not really incress
a lot make this in a control and safe manner (obey posted speed limits)
