Check the battery and make sure the connections are clean and tight. If you are grounding the negative jumper to the engine instead of the battery, then make sure the ground from the battery is good.

It is no good just resetting a warning light, you have to fix the problem. You need a garage to connect a scan tool to it. That gives a code. and then searching the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P???? code tells the fault and the fix. Most garages will scan for free in the hope of getting the work. It appears to be a known issue.

If it is the earth terminal, (Black, negative), it is normally bolted to the body or chassis near the battery. You can usually disconnect the battery, Unbolt the earth lead and bolt in a new one.
If it it the Live, (Red, positive), Get a good Auto Electrician to deal with it. Unless you know what your doing there are too many sensors built into the vehicle that you could damage.
rescan for a correct trouble code --try boosting battery or have load tested - running out of gas may have overheated fuelpump try starting with starter fluid
