How to open range rover 2003 with died battery

Some models of Range Rover have a hidden key slot to manually open the drivers side door. Try this. Take a close look at the door handle at the section that does not move. On some models this is a small cover that is held in place with adhesive tape. GENTLY lever the cover off but DO NOT force it off as this could damage the handle cover. I would suggest use a piece of rag over the grip section of handle and lever at the joint position to avoid scratching any paintwork. Once the cover is off turn your ignition key in the slot to unlock the door.

Wipers stopped working & central locking system stopped working on my 2003 range rover

The alarm and the central locking are all part of the remote keying system. You will not fix it with changing fuses because it is likely the ECU needs to be be reset. Unfortunately, it will require a visit to an authorised workshop to do this

How can I fix evaporated canister on 2003 range rover

Most canister faults are caused by over filling the fuel tank, then parking in the sun, the fuel expands and floods the canister, replace it.

I have a 2003 range rover ac will blow for awhile and stop sounds coming out of top vent but nothing happening and after awhile will start blowing out vents again why is this.

Sounds like you either need a new blower motor that's inside the dash, or a new AC compressor.

My heater blower not working on my range rover 2003 any ideas anyone

Check for 12 volt at the blower motor, if it's there, once you turn your blower and ignition on and motor doesn't work, you have a bad motor. If it's not there, check your fuses, blower switch and blower resistor pack.

When I fill up my RR to full it pours gas out of tank.

If it is under the vehicle, it is a bad fuel sending unit seal. You have to see where the fuel trails come from.

Trying to start my 2003 range rover and when i turn the key it clicks once and won't start.

Sounds like a bad or frozen ( not cold but locked up) starter and the more you do that to start it the worse it will get or one other possibility but don't think it is is a bad battery

How to unlock a range rover with a dead battery

There has to be a keyed entry for this. If not then you will need to unlatch the hood from underneath the vehicle in the front. You may have to get creative but find the cable that releases the hood and pull.

Hi i have range rover 2003 diesel vouge problem is recently i have changed my exhaust because some noise was coming .machanic he removed the filter from the exhaust .noise has been stopped but today i

I assume we are talking about a UK spec vehicle? If so, without the filter even a car in great working order is likely to fail its MOT smoke test. From the sound of it yours hasn't a hope of passing. Also, and you need to check this, I think you will find that removing the filter is illegal. One way or another it needs to be replaced.Next you need to ask yourself why removing the filter solved the problem. Have you understood cause and effect correctly? My first guess would be that the smokey exhaust from your engine had blocked the filter. I would suggest you fix the engine smoke first and then replace the filter with a new one. These BMW engines can reach very high mileages without problem if they are well maintained so the fix could be just a question of a quick tweak. On the other hand it could be very, very expensive.Unless you are fortunate enough to have the space, money, time and know how to restore it to its former glory as a pampered classic or you intend to cut it up to make a trials off roader I would sell it. If you don't it will become a money pit. Do I take my own advice? Yes I sold my perfectly reliable 2003 model last year as all the well known brake, transmission and electronic problems were all beginning to appear. Normally it is the engine that is the good bit. Good luck.

Key wont turn in lock cylinder

You don't say which lock won't turn. If it has happened suddenly, except in freezing weather, the culprit is often dust or grit ingress or small quantities of swarf from the lock and key, that has built up and eventually prevents the key going all the way in, often by only a tiny amount. A small probe to hold the lock shutter open, lots of penetrating fluid, lots of compressed air and some gentle tapping and probing can sometimes move the foreign body and allow the lock to be operated. In the case of an extra stubborn lock it could be mechanical failure and the lock will have to be removed for closer examination. The steering lock barrel cannot be removed if it will not turn and so the complete lock will need to be removed and replaced.

I changed the brakes for my 2003 range rover and now the abs, brake, and traction light come on continuously.

I presume this is a late P38? I suggest you post the question with a bit more detail about the model on the forum at http://www.graemecooper.com.au/smf_forum/index.php You will need to register with a sensible user name or your membership will probably be rejected to avoid spammers. My 2003 range rover will not start but the radio is working

Will not start,,,,,as in, it won't crank over, or it will crank over and it does not fire up? Your radio could work, but it will not crank over if the battery connections are bad. Sometimes a little power will go through but when you put a big load on it, it fails. Anything else would be a lot of guessing, I would need more information of what it is actually doing.

Range rover problems

Dead or poorly grounded battery. Take your battery to your auto parts store and they will test it (usually free of charge). Also check your battery leads for corrosion in between the strands. It actually creeps up the cable under the insulation and grows like mold eventually rendering them useless. The Range Rover cranking requirements as well as operating draw push the limits of a properly matched battery and bring any battery less than minimum spec to its knees in short order. So have a good strong properly fitted battery such as an Optima or Interstate brand. A new battery and leads will cure your problem im relatively certain.

How to reset air suspension in a 2003 range rover

This assumes the suspension has failed in some way. The cause could be a loose air line, a leaking air spring, the valve block, the compressor or the computer. Only a dealer or specialised LR shop can reset the computer, but you need to determine and fix the cause first
