My husband has just fitted a new dvd player in our 2003 Discovery 2,But it is saying invalid region. He bought the dvd from Ebay & I was sent from the USA.Do we need some sort of reset code??

DVD players designed for the US are set for Region 1 and cannot be used with DVD's that are from other regions such as Great Britain and most of Europe which use Region 2 DVD's . What you need is a "Region Free" player which plays all regions or a player that plays your specific region. We live in the US but watch many British DVD series so use.a Region Free player as they are Region 2 and we are in Region 1. maybe you can return the player or at least get some sort of credit for it towards the correct region player. If you are unsure of your region, just Google it.

03 discovery key won't turn in door

Does this affect BOTH front doors and does the key still operate the ignition? This will idendify whether the key itself has been damaged. Do you have a spare key to try? The other option is damage to the internal parts of the actual lock barrel. If you can get the lock barrel out, a good locksmith can probably repair it, otherwise replacements are available online but then you may have central locking problems and/or the need for two separate keys You will have to remove the door trims to get at the mechanism, then undo the two bolts holding the latch plate to the frame. Be careful - the connecting rods are hard to get back and can be confusing.

Number 3, 5,6, and 7 cylinder misfire

Because the cylinders are 1-2-3-4 on one side and 5-6-7-8 on the other, I would say you have bad wires. This is a known problem with these engines.

2003 LR discovery. Went to turn ignition on. Suddenly went completely dead. No power to anything. Wouldn't think battery is issue with such a sudden shut down. What should I check first?

Check battery terminals for corrosion. If none is found at battery posts also check the other end of the cables where they connect to the stater motor and ground (ground is usually at the engine and or car's frame).

Why is the car still noisy after replacing power steering pump, reservoir, and pully on a 2003 landrover discovery ?

Could be air in the system. No need to bleed it - ensure the reservoir is full, then turn the steering wheel from lock to lock a couple of times and it will self-bleed. If the noise persists, maybe it is not the steering causing it - maybe like the fan assembly or water pump. See the article on "noises" at www.graemecooper.com.au.

Wheres my air pump suspension valve

It doesn't work that way. The valve block that controls the ride height is driven by an on-board compressor and governed by a computer. You will need to go to a Land Rover specialist. From the sound of it, you probably have a leaking line or maybe a damaged air spring. I doubt it is anything more serious

Got the car back from the dealer and the radio was in safe mode. Radio code is not accepted when put in. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

Hassle the dealer until they fix it - providing the radio worked when you took it there. This sort of thing happens frequently and it should't. It is their problem - not yours

Land rover discovery faults

that is called STALLing, (not arguing word, but is more accurate) most cars stall for 1 reason never doing a tuneup. 99% true on all older cars. when the warranty runs dry , most folks end the service. is that you? if unlucky it 1% , it can be over 50 reasons. we do the tests and not attempt to try all 50 causes and parts.
