This can sometimes happen when the brake sensor is not being activated. If you press *really* hard on the brake, you can sometimes get it to trip, allowing you to get out of park. Generally, the sensor will have to be replaced, but I have had one car (2002 Ford Explorer) where this trick would make it work for months at a time.

check the turbo wastegate, if it overboosts the ecu reduces or cuts fuel not to do any damage in the engine. I read this http://www.discovery2.co.uk/wastegate.html and after a while i saw your problem and thought that this was the problem.

call the DEALER and ask to cross-reference the part with the part number.

under the front middle of the car is a sideways looking damper undo end nuts and replace

under the bonnet drivers side black fuse box

It is possible the the oil pressure sensor could be bad.The next thing I would do if the light stays on is to hook an actual pressure guage in place of the oil sensor to get an actual pressure reading from the pump.If the pressure is low and doesn't rise when given gas then it could be a bad oil pump.But I would get the sensor tested by a local service station and then go from there.All electrical components can be tested in one form or another.

No just a sign of age. oil pump can be replaced. If you replace it before it goes out you will save the engine.

Clutch slave cylinder seals are bad. I highly doubt bleeding it is going to solve your problem. The seals flip internally and won't hold pressure - Check with AtlanticBritish online they can get you the parts and their guys are SUPER with repair questions re: your Disco

First try to re sync. the key with the car.
To re sync the controller, please do as it follows:
1: close the vehicle from the driver's side with the key!
2: Wait until the alarm is armed.
3: With the unlock button pressed turn the key in the barrel to unlock position, then back. Now release the button.
4: Now with the lock button pressed turn the key to the locked position, and back. Release the button.

ECU usually coded to ignition module. ie: Key and anti theft system.

Need Range Rover compatible scanner to recode ecu.

or dealership to do same.

If the relay is bad, the fuel pump won't run.

Hello looks like your looking at a toque converter this is in the bell housing located between the motor and transmission this is what converts the torque once these let go inside you loose your ability to move at all transmission needs to be removed and torque converter replaced

Slowly pull the key outward while still attempting to turn the key to the on position. Usually it will catch sometime in the first 1/4 inch. Common problem. Solution is a $602 lockset.
